Kentucky fan thoughts

Someone posted on here prior to the game that Kentucky wasn't called for their first foul of the game in Lexington until around the 12 minute mark of the second half. If that's true, Kentucky fans should just accept that Tennessee played with the determination needed to win the game. I sometimes question foul calls, but really, watching from the viewpoint of my living room, I really can't see most fouls unless it's very obvious.

People just post **** on here that literally is completely false and some of you idiots just gobble it up and regurgitate it. There were at least 7 or 8 fouls on UK in the 1st half by my memory.

The obvious one on Tshiebwe was when he missed a close shot that carried him under the backboard then jumped on Fulky trying for the rebound in front of the rim, then acting as if it was a terrible call
I'm talking about him getting away with it with no foul called. He was definitely guilty there.

Seems some Ky fans think Wheeler was slammed to the ground. In reality he did some kind of ballerina jump with a twist in the air and fell to the ground. Nobody touched him, lol.

Ky comments:

#1 Cheap calls on Oscar putting him on the bench for a significant portion of the game and the no calls on the Wheeler body slam and the chop block on Toppin taking his legs out from under him are examples. The large disparity in free throws is more evidence.

#2 The effort was poor but the officiating was also abysmal. Given fair officiating things mighta been different, we were making a push, Wheeler gets slammed to ground no call, immediate touch foul on Oscar on the resultant break.
Good, now they know how most other teams feel after playing in Rupp!šŸ˜Ž

Having grown up near SE KY and living around this whinny fan base, this has been the typical excuse for any loss, regardless who it is and whatever sport! No team is ever good enough to beat their beloved blue w/o poor officiating!

No fan base out there complains about officiating more than UT.
Every game the football team lost except for Bama was because of the refs.
The baseball fans are even worse than the bkb fans.
Did you perform a study to test your hypothesis? Or are you just talking out of your backside? Rhetorical question, by the way, I already know the answer.

I'm sure we could go to your board and see more of the same. Like coming up with excuses as to why Kentucky got outworked Wednesday night. I haven't checked the game thread, but I'm sure you had several of your own. That's what fans do. And yours isn't immune to it either.

Well, we have a group on our board that blames the refs every game we lose and want acknowledge it when we get the calls like the Arizona game. Every fan base has those that use that as a crutch.
Just curious what calls you think we got in the Arizona game? I was at that game, and for the most part a lot of those calls were due to Fulky attacking the rim. That's generally when teams get foul calls. Even Arizona's coach acknowledged as much.

Their big man played 30 mins .. fact is our guards schooled their guards .... we had more assists and less turnovers ..we shot a few more FT but the fouls committed were close ....just sour grapes

#1 Oscar should try not fouling if he doesnā€™t want to sit.
#2 Wheeler shouldnā€™t fall down if he doesnā€™t want to fall down.

Tshiebwe was called for his first foul before 15:00 mark in first half. He had two by halftime, just as in the Knoxville game. VĆ©scovi hit both ends of a 1-and-1 near the end of the first half of the Lexington game.

Tshiebwe played 31 minutes in Lexington, 30 in Knoxville. He didnā€™t pick up his 3rd foul in Knoxville until after the 14 minute mark in the second half and never got called for a 4th.

That was a very good no call - Wheeler was completely out of control and out of options - he tried to twist into the defender at the last minute and somehow draw a call - but unfortunately not close enough to the defender and the refs were not buying. He laid on the court for a while trying to draw sympathy but
don't think he received any - including from Cal who saw it for what it was - and replaced him at point guard for a while. It was perfect defense which isn't easy - he is quick and he carries the ball.
ZZ is better.

I just complain about reffing all the time to be honest (and feel bad if very questionable calls help us because I us to win without help). I do feel like there have been less egregiously bad reffing situations in our games this year but I am probably biased on that because weā€™ve been benefited a bit more this year than usual.

Ky fans are the biggest cry babies I have ever seen regarding officiating. Alabama football fans are a close second. Tennessee fans are bad too, but these guys take it to another level. I hope Tennessee gets to play the Cats again. I like Tennesseeā€™s chances.
No wonder. they get their inspiration from the loudest whining coach in the game. You would think Calipari would have some embarrassment over his whining. But no he saw how it worked for John Wooden and Adolf Rouff [Sp] so many years ago and is just following their example.
