Ok, I wasn't sure what kiddies meant lol.
Same for UT. I'm interested in what both 2015 and later classes look like after 1/2 seasons.
I was referring to current commits and future recruits.
There's a long way to signing day and it's hard to carry that momentum through a losing season.
Yep, keep that in mind, Butch needs to get as many on board before the season starts as he can. But it's not impossible to get a great recruiting class with a bad record, Alabama was #1 and was 6-7 and UGA was #3 when they went 6-7.
Stars are nice but offer lists tell more IMO. The guys putting stars by peoples names don't make the bucks or have the knowledge of the guys giving the offers. If you discount offers from Kentucky...Orlando Brown has almost as many SEC offers as Kentucky's entire class. We offered 3 of the 18. Barker, Jared Tucker-DB, and Stanley Williams-APB. I imagine we cooled on Williams when Paulk committed.
The situation they've been in the last few years is really tough. UT fans are desperate for winning. Recruiting is coming back but it isn't what it could be. It's a very tough job. Probably a lot of pressure. Let's say Butch goes 5-7, 6-6. What are fans saying?
Whereas at UK Stoops going the same record would be a major improvement over Joker and fans would be happy (not completely happy, but relieved we aren't bottom dwellers).
Most of their class isn't from the south, they have hit Ohio hard this year so that would make sense that we haven't offered the same kids. KY needs to hit OH, TN needs to hit GA, NC, and VA.
18 commitments and a 3.22 star average. Quantity, not quality. Only reason they are #1 is because they have so many more commits than most schools.
You said 4-8 would be good for UK
It would be an extreme disappointment if UT had a losing season this year.
You're right there. If we can get 30 signees I find it hard to believe we won't be top 5 regardless of record. I still think Butch will finish with 7 wins though.
