Kentucky vs Florida (@ the Swamp)

Sucks is relative. Compared to Alabama, yeah. Compared to your team that got drilled last night by OK, not so much.

I really hope you Kentucky fans aren't going to turn into the same monster that Vandy fans became after last year.

Your program is moving in the right direction. But don't let it go to your heads.

UK is clearly improved from the first 3 games, but how much improved is a bit relative. I mean they were pretty rock bottom so they only had up to go.

But they still found ways to UK it up. They should have had a pick 6 easy to make it 17-6. Driskel couldn't have thrown it anymore directly to the UK guy and he lets it bounced off him and right to the UF receiver who gets a huge gain, and they score a TD the next play. Another interception was off the receiver's hands.

And finally, yes the play clock ran out, but I almost thought UK should have called a TO because as UF was clearly scrambling and confused, UK's defense in turn was clearly becoming confused. And it's 4th down and they needed a TD, and 2 guys let the UF receiver behind them in the endzone? Come on....that was PATHETIC defense. The one thing you couldn't let happen, you did. And the next OT, you score a TD, you win.

Do you think 6-6 is possible for UK?

My guess is it's a bad time to talk to them. I know if I were a UK fan, I'd be really ticked off they didn't pull that game out. I mean they played pretty well, especially compared to the typical trip to The Swamp and even taking into account UF is down. And UF did everything to hand them that game and UK constantly didn't take advantage and/or made really silly mistakes.

UT has a much better defense than the improved Kentucky team that played last night. Tennessee's defense wont get gassed and quit fighting like Kentucky's did in the 2nd half. Florida hasn't improved from last season.
Fla has improved on offense just by getting a healthy Matt Jones and the emergence of D Robinson as a legit playmaker at WR. Driscol is a lost cause and no QB coach is going to fix his mental clock or awareness. No way Fl has back to back games of 500+yards without improvement. Not sure what Fl team you've watched the ladt few yrs.

I didn't get to see that game, but in the end, Kentucky still has a long road to travel. Much like we do, but the difference is our program has the history behind it.

Point being is their fans don't need to become the arrogant, **** talking idiots that Vandy fans were from before. The result in Norman would have been he same had Kentucky played last night instead of us. And that's something our dear Wildcat should recognize before saying what he said.

Yes. They'll beat Vandy and Monroe. After that Miss. St. and I think their last game at Louisville will be for that 6th win. I don't think they'll beat any of the other SEC teams on their schedule, including Tennessee.

Miss St. is a critical game for them. It's at home, and a few years ago UK was in a similar position and lost to a Miss St. team they should have beaten at Commonwealth. Given how up and down SC can be (and UK upset them at Commonwealth a few years back), that might be one they could steal on a bad day for SC.

So 6-6 is possible but they are going to have to earn all 6 wins.

If UK had been in Norman the defense would have worn out and they would have given up maybe 60+ points.

I"m giving them the benefit of the doubt that they aren't turning into arrogant fans but are snippy because of how they lost.

And UK would have been beaten way worse than us in Norman last night IMHO.

I see that UT fans aren't the only ones who deify the backup QB(s).

Always the most popular guy on team.

UF problem is the usually transfer and end up being solid elsewhere. Tyler Murphy has looked like a stud so far for BC and Jacory struggled through game one but seems to finding his groove at NCState...and Fla well we still got Duffy as our QB1.

Why you guys didn't latch on to Tyler Murphy and develop that kid I'll never know. We made him look like a Heisman Candidate last year, but he didn't do great the rest of the year. However...

One could see the potential and raw talent that could have been grown into a strong QB.

Glad we could give Tyler the confidence he needed last year to take that step. Hopefully this year our D can play a solid game and make your trip to Knoxville a difficult and ultimately disappointing one.

Tyler still can't pass worth a damn, I didn't expect him to go off running against USC.

Brissett looks much improved from his UF days.

He got hurt before the Mizzou game and he wasn't the same player the next 3 starts.

Doesn't mean he couldn't have been developed over the off season. You can train a QB to throw better. You can't teach speed and agility.

Having said that to say this, I'm not upset he's gone lol

Shoulder injury.

Before that Weis was trying to run him off but he wouldn't leave. If it wasn't for Brissett transfer and Duffy's injury Murphy would haven't played a down. He was an Addaizo find that none wanted to waste time developing.

So would you rather have him or Driskell at the helm right now?
