Kentucky vs. Northwestern

I actually didn't think that one was late. NU guy was off his feet and the hit was in bounds. They slid. That said, refs are ridiculous and the ejection was pitiful

It was the end of the play with the continued effort well out of bounds that led to the injury and should have been a penalty.

He jumped on top late and drug him down. He definitely was excessive and late with that needless contact.

Couldn't disagree more. Contact was on green grass. I know refs have been bad but the initial contact was in the field of play. And the NU guy was off the ground so he couldn't have driven him.

Look at tacklers feet. In bounds, his feet left the ground. He can't be called for continuing if his feet aren't touching. No way to drive him. I think they just slid on that one. Plenty of other awful no calls...just don't think this particular play was 1 of em

Captain Spraytan gotta have some more face time on national tv.

The commentator nailed it when he said the officials should just officiate and not insert themselves into the game. This whole crew should be suspended and captain Spraytan should be fired on the sideline going in at halftime.

The initial shove out of bounds was fine. If you watch the replay, after pushing him out of bounds, he pulls the player down and slams on top if him well out of bounds. That pull required an additional effort by the defender and it occurred well out of bounds.

He needlessly drug him down well out of bounds. He definitely was already contacting Johnson but it was the extra effort to drag and then fall on him that was late.

Thats a huge reach. Falling and landing is what I see. Not slamming. Had his feet been on the ground i might agree. But he cant possibly drive him if he has no leverage to do so.

I think that Snell situation was set up by Northwestern.

When you throw out one of UK’s best players over basically nothing, that’s clearly a sign of a rigged game.

They knew he was the best player on the field.

It's consistency. The ref sure was strict with no contact call on Snell. At least be strict with the other rules as well then.

Really disappointed with Stoops' response there, that was the perfect opportunity to justifiably blast the officiating. Instead it looked like he got disciplined before he came out.

Be interesting to see how it plays out after the game. Mitch may have intervened. Everyone has an angle

I'm still not sure he knows or has seen it. Or maybe he's trying to remain calm. We saw UK meltdown against UL. This team has some hot-heads and I'm surprised we didn't go crazy after some of those calls in the 1st.

Gosh. The refereeing today has been god-awful. Seems like these other conference refs are biased against the SEC.

Refs have been completely awful in this game. The Snell ejection was garbage and so was the targeting call against NW.
