Not only that, but I heard CCM saying on the radio the other day that he will only recruit players who "fit our system". Maybe he feels like Ware doesn't do that. He was asked about recruiting locally, and said that it didn't matter really how good a player is, and that if they don't fit the system that he runs then there is no point in recruiting them. They will just be somewhere where they aren't playing and aren't happy.

Rucker to break this in less than four hours, imo. (Premium)

Pearls 1st year, would not release Tyler Smith- result lost Smith and Gordon. Coach Martin did the right thing if we lose both recruits we lose both recruits, it is still the right decision!!!

Kevin Ware will be in a Tennessee uniform next year...I think it wastge right decision all along to release them, but Ware will realize he belongs in orange next year

Absolutely the right move. Now if Ware comes, we know he is fully committed to the team and this coach. Can't blame a guy for wanting to look around after a coaching change. It is not like this kid is Eric Berry, growing up a UT fan. I think he still stays orange, but if not, good luck to him.

And Tyler Smith returned and Gordon stated later he wished he would have stayed with the Vols

Great move.... if you want to recruit the kid and he still wants to come great... if not no bad blood going forward.

Well, I had mixed feelings about the release without a face to face meeting. However, if Martin didn't have time to quickly meet, then this is the right course of action to take. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

More power to him. Can't blame him, but I still think it's a knee-jerk reaction if he hasn't actually met with CCM face to face.
