More power to him. Can't blame him, but I still think it's a knee-jerk reaction if he hasn't actually met with CCM face to face.

You do realize that just because he is released from his scholarship that this doesn't mean he can't still play for UT? He wanted his LOI back so he could open up his recruitment again. I don't understand why that would ever, given the circumstances, seem like a bad thing to do.

Well, I had mixed feelings about the release without a face to face meeting. However, if Martin didn't have time to quickly meet, then this is the right course of action to take. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Still plan on a face-to-face after the Final 4. Didn't want to hold him back for another week.

CCM spoke to Ware via telephone last night. MH originally did not want to release any players currently committed. CCM went to Hamilton and told MH he wanted to release them, which MH finally agreed to do.

CCM sent Ware an email this afternoon telling him he hopes he returns to UT, but encouraged him to look around to make sure Tennessee is where he wanted to be, if that's the case.

Expectation is that he recommits to TN in a few weeks time.

Classy. I'm proud of my basketball coach for the first time in a while.

Now that it's out there, yes, Tennessee confirmed Kevin Ware has been released from his LOI. My understanding is UT plans to re-recruit him.
