Jim Tressel had won multiple I-AA national titles and was almost hired by Miami instead of Butch Davis.

So where was that caliber of candidate three weeks ago?

Assuming they'll be available, who is that caliber next year?

Made Kippy Brown or Lance Thompson the interim coach, then hired a legitimate D-I head guy next December.

An interim coach is a temporary fix not a permanent solution. Waiting until next year and going through this process for a third time in three years only weakens the program more.

Dooley grew up under one of the SEC's great coaches and worked under Saban for seven years. A lineage not unlike our previous HC, only with more intelligence, class, respect, and discipline.

I don't know your feelings about the last HC, though I don't recall many incendiary posts referencing him either.

You're posts on CBP are well documented. Yet, he's the most successful coach we've had in over a decade.

My point is...maybe you're wrong...maybe you're right...or maybe you should just let things play out instead of flaming our HC, who's yet to even run a practice.

When did Lane Kiffin coach at Louisiana Tech? Oh, that's right. His services were valued enough that he never had to coach in a fourth rate slum program like that. Then again, having employment options is a concept foreign to you. The hiring of janitors isn't terribly competitive.
