Kiffin gotta pay off that mortgage to USC. Layla wants out of the Holiday Rambler-- even if it is a house in Honey's neighborhood.

My dream scenario:

Saban hires Kiffin. Kiffin brings more NCAA heat to bama. bama gets busted for violations. Saban doesn't want to deal with the trouble, leaves bama. bama's new coach fires kiffin.

It would be glorious!
I don't really care one way or the other.

My prediction...he will be their next OC (offensive genius..I hate to admit it), he will do nothing but help their already strong recruiting efforts, the NCAA will look the other way ( they believe Bama is great for college football), so all in all this pretty much sucks for us! I absolutely can't stand that program on so many levels!!!

Ok after the sketchy comments.....I hope he goes to bama it would bring back the true hatred out of vols fans that don't live down here, lately some of y'all have slacked off........i want to get back to the days where we shake their bus as it comes in...lane kiffin would just increase my hatred for them GO VOLS

That would really add a major spark to the Tennessee -Alabama game in October! No Tennessee fan better be sellin their tkts to bummers!!

As much as I don't like the slime ball, I do believe it will not be good for us if he goes to bammer. When he was here, he had good game plans against Florida to keep the game close and almost beat Bama in Tuscaloosa, if not for the blocked FG attempt. He did it with drastically inferior players. He is a disaster as a HC, but his offensive philosophy fits Saban's to a tee. If he doesn't insert his poison in the program he could do well. Obviously Saban believes he can control him.

He is vastly overrated as a play caller.

His game plan was to not get blown out vs FL. We had a bit of luck in the Bama game to get that last chance (how often did Mark Ingram fumble in his career and dont forget the very uncharistic Saban decision to force three pass attempts to Julio Jones on the 3) and LK fumbled that by not taking a chance to get a few more yards.

Now please explain UCLA, AU, Ole Miss, and VA Tech.

If Kiffin helped look over and tweak the Alabama offense for their bowl game, I'm reasonably certain Saban has deleted Kiffin's number in his phone and has already asked for the restraining order and to have him declared Persona Non Grata for the entire State of Alabama.

He can't be the DC too.

Considering the way he acted when confronted by Spurrier, I'd say there's a solid chance he doesn't even make the trip to Knoxville (if hired).

I can picture a meeting with Nick sitting at his big ask desk peeking over at Kiffin wearing extra shoulder pads in his suit jacket and warning him that any sign of backstabbing or posturing would lead Nicky to get him permanently blackballed.

Agreed. Kiffin has proven that he is not head coaching material. However, I think he would be a solid OC. He has also shown the ability to recruit. His recruiting tactics have a history of bringing down the wrath of the NCAA, but this will not be an issue at Bama since they seem to be beyond reproach in the Emmert era of the NCAA.

...to hate 'Bama even more? YES,if Saban hires Lane Kiffin as OC. Actually this would be a good thing for TN. Maybe they would have extra incentive to kick 'Bama's azz.

A friend of mine that is a bama fan just sent me a screenshot of a tweet from Travis Haney, and I have no idea how to upload a picture on here, that said Nussmeier was encouraged to look around for another job and could open the door for Kiffin to get the OC position. On one hand I think it would be a bad hire for them and good for us because he seems like a cancer for a program, but on the other hand he seems to know X and O's well and can recruit with the best of em. Thoughts?

I don't think anyone has any worries. Remember Kiffin was supposed to be around the Bama program before the Sugar Bowl? Well, his input didn't help their offense at all. So, based on the results of the offense performance in the Sugar Bowl, I would say that Kiffin would not be around the Bama program for long.
