He seems set on not playing the freshman. Worley will play every snap the rest of the year.
Kiffin's firing should send a signal to Butch about...
Butch knows exactly where he is at. UT demands a winner and if he can't get it done he is well aware of what will happen.
There is no hidden meaning, but mounting losses and near misses to teams you should beat handily WILL hurt recruiting. It did to Kiffin, and it WILL hurt CBJ if this team doesn't improve even a little over the past few years.
....about the current recruiting class (and beyond). The losses USC experienced has caused recruits to drop like flies. To keep this (UT) class fairly intact and/or build on it, he and the staff are going to HAVE to work some magic these next few weeks, and beat expectations....which are lower now than they were before we started losing.
You can sell only so many promises. Many will want to see SOME tangible improvement on in this team, and right now, there doesn't appear to be any, except on the defensive side of the ball.
I'm hoping against hope that Worley can have a breakout game against UGA like Crompton did a few years ago, but I'm not counting on it. Not playing one of the freshman, at all...doesn't show recruits...especially the receivers, that there is much hope for the future. So, he REALLY needs to show something there...going to HAVE to burn one of their redshirts to do that.
