I don't think you quite understand how NIL works. NIL has zero to do with the program/school. It's about the athletes ability to make money off their popularity through endorsements, social media, etc. Now do schools use it as a tool for recruiting? Of course they do. But that's no fault of the student athlete. They deserve to make as much money of their popularity as they can.

There was famously a kicker in 2017 (at UCF of all places) who became a well known YouTuber and was making a good bit of money from his YouTube page. Quite clearly he wasn't famous for kicking, but that didn't stop the NCAA from stripping his eligibility. And that's straight bull ****. Anyone should have the ability to make money off their popularity without the NCAA having a say.

Tis true though. We need about 5 players to fill our roster currently and that is without any transferring out.

Hammon would have to build a team from the portal and get HS recruiting going asap. Something a pro coach might be good at considering the portal is a bit more like free agency.

I have a hard time seeing Juju Watkins leaving Southern California, even if her coach does. My reservations on Gottlieb are still her actual Xs and Os coaching when she doesn’t have a loaded roster or star like Watkins. So a ton would depend on who she is immediately able to bring with her.

Dawn Staley wouldn’t even have to move that far 4 hours? A breeze. Pack the car and let’s go!!! Lol

So you'd rather White shut down the program than hire a homerun on Monday? Bad take.

There's no reason to rush the hire. Just get the right person. It's very easy to hire just anybody, and even some promising coaches. That's not what White or anyone wants. We need and want the RIGHT person and if it takes another week then it's worth the wait.

Or what if it is finalized by EOD tomorrow but they don't announce until Monday? Why is it so important to have it done on your timeline?

Exactly y I want us to pursue quickly. But Empty is a disgrace to our players. I won’t put up with such blatant disrespect to these girls who u publicly humiliate
