If only she had been given a choice, if only the court had given her the opportunity to let her employees approve the licenses?
I think the concepts being used in here have confused you but you want to be seen as someone with something important to say. You're not sure what to do, so you just lash out.
The standard is to start hurling pejoratives like "liberal" and "socialist". Maybe call me a Obama lover or a Clinton bootlicker.
Get started there, I hear it's good for "likes."
Have another drink.
Not the point at all. If KY state law mandates a clerk issue licenses the state should have went after her. Not a federal issue. If state law does not mandate then she was violating no law.
I think that the only two people here lashing out and exhibiting rage are you and VP. Everyone else just sits here and listens to you two tell us how stupid we are because we don't follow your convoluted logic.
You think it's a wise use of the taxpayers dime to legislate and pass laws for every job obligation for each and every state, county and city employee?
I don't understand why you keep rallying around the semantics of whether its a law or not - issuing licenses for the people who meet the requirements of the license - is her job.
I didn't grow up in a particularly religious home, and haven't been to church in about 50 years. I never thought that my world was the only one because I was pretty well travelled when I was younger. Why would I have another drink?
Because I'm scared?
Look, brother, I'm tired of people constantly trying to tell others how they ought to live their lives purely off of emotion.
Maybe you've missed it, but I'm not all that different from you. I grew up in a religious home. Thought my world the only one.
But then, one day, after much help, I said, "Maybe there are other things out there."
A very simple answer for a very complicated age.
I'm talking about doing it right. We cannot allow the fed courts to interject themselves into issues not within their purview.
I don't get why you have such a hard time with this? I'm not against gay marriage nor do I support this woman.
If you are good with Davis being in jail, then you should be OK with this:
Muslim Flight attendant suspended for not serving alcohol
I didn't grow up in a particularly religious home, and haven't been to church in about 50 years. I never thought that my world was the only one because I was pretty well travelled when I was younger.
I know that there are other things out there, like people who smoke cigarettes, and worship in their church or whatever. I have no problem with them doing that, even though I do neither cigarettes nor church. People like you have no room for others with differing views.
You really compare her refusing to issue a license to the Westboro group?
Seriously?
Did I miss where she was protesting at soldier's funerals? Did I miss the "God hates ****" sign on her desk? And do you really think she deserved to be tossed into jail?
