I don't drink margaritas too often, but Cinco Amigos in Lenoir City has outstanding margs! Menu is pretty good as well.

Son and I ate at Bad Daddy's Burger Bar this past Saturday. It was very good. I had the black bean burger wrapped in lettuce with sweet potato fries and he had a tasty monstrosity with 3 different kinds of bacon and tater tots.

We'll definitely be going back.

Lonesome Dove this weekend, will report back. I haven't been this excited to try a new local restaurant in quite some time.

I drove down Southerland yesterday. Gus's is getting somewhat close. Building appears to be up and windows installed.

Stock Burgers - They have possibly the worst street sign I've ever seen on a restaurant. If that's a 'sign' of things to come, good luck to them. It's so bad.

Empire Pizza (formerly I Love New York) is quite good. Not quite on the level of Hard Knox, but I'm certain it's more "authentic." Nice char on the crust.

I like Sullivan's, good comfort food at fair prices. Fried corn on the cob! I haven't been to the one in Maryville but the Rocky Hill location is great. They have a cool outdoor seating deck built around a tree which nobody in their right mind would use right now because it's too hot.

Did you make it to Lonsome Dove? Did it live up to the hype and price?

Ate at Connor's tonight, and the food was great as always! Only thing I didn't care for was the service, as our waiter thought he was hot stuff, yet botched my order and forgot several condiment requests. They made it right, so everything was good though.

I always eat at the bar and the red headed girl does a fantastic job. She even remembers my order and I'm in there like twice a month. I've never eaten in the dining room. Glad they did the right thing and made it right

Sadly, one member of our party is a very unadventurous eater, and she didn't think she could find anything there to order. So...another day.

We did, however, make it to the Oliver Royale. It was fantastic. Bold and unique flavors and preparation, nice presentation. Portions aren't huge, but I thought the price was about what I'd expect.

Um, was it a matter of money? Because, if she doesn't eat fish (Wild Caught Black Bass or Blue Corn Crusted Catfish), then there's
  1. Steak
  2. Yukon Gold Potato Puree = whipped taters
  3. Truffle Mac & Cheese - It's mac 'n' cheese infused with truffle oil
  4. They'd probably serve her a salad as a side

Definitely not the money. Oliver is just as pricey. She's just very finicky and it wasn't a battle worth fighting :)

We will hit it up soon, and I'll report back.
