Knoxville Restaurants

I can only hope 5 guys isn't on that list?

TBH, I'd rather have a Five Guys grease bomb.

Seasons
Conners'
Flemming's
Bad Daddy's
Bonefish
Chili's
And I'm guessing that Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse have a decent burger

I don't really know what we're talkin about, but 5 downtown has an amazing burger.

I really liked that place.

Evidently it was one of two franchised in the chain. The owner said it never did very well at that location. Might do better downtown or Bearden but who knows. Doubt we will see another one again

I went once and was thoroughly disappointed. The burger sucked and the side sucked and the time it took for any employee to finally walk back to our table so I could tell them everything was bad sucked.

Turkey Creek rent is stupid high.

Full Service BBQ in Farragut is really good. It's nice to finally have a few real BBQ options in town.

Good if you like a little sauce with your cayenne pepper powder.
Also too heavy on the cayenne in the baked beans. The wife agreed with me. Our kids split on the too much cayenne in sauce and beans.

The macaroni and slaw sides were good though.

•THE MEAT IS EXCELLENT!
•The drive thru service at your car was great.
•Much, much cleaner and well thought out than the Maryville spot. (But no report on the state of cleanliness, or lack thereof like in Maryville, of the restrooms)

So unless they have a non 'beat-u-up-with-cayenne sauce', I'll be going elsewhere.

Is there a consensus restaurant that everyone likes here? Any food category.

Nama?
First watch

I've been to Nama twice and didn't care for it compared to some sushi we have down here in SC.

As far as another category goes, I really like Sweet P's downtown. Also really like 5.

I've never been with anyone at either of the above that was disappointed. Nama is the only place I really like sushi in town, East Japan is ok, though.

Seasons and Conners' are consistently good. 5, stock & barrel, Cafe 4, Tupelo honey, and Lonesome Dove downtown. Bonefish is always solid. Flemming's and Ruth's Chris if money is not a factor.

I still haven't been able to try Stock & Barrel. They were closed when I was in town back in November and could never get us in after the games. I've made several attempts but no luck.

Sunspot is also a good one.

Not a huge fan of Tupelo Honey. There's one right next door to us and we rarely go.

I didn't have too much pepper, so maybe I lucked out. I'm not big into spice. I think I had green beans and mac&cheese as my sides and they were great.
