Knoxville Restaurants

Never thought i would find a better donut than richy kreme. Then i took a bite from a duck donut. Sorry richy kreme but you lost best status in my mind.

Are you talking about Krispy Kreme's iconic sugar glazed donut here? Is that the specific donut you bought at Duck Donuts, a simple sugar glazed donut?

Richy Kreme > Krispy Kreme

Richy Kreme is a Blount County jewel few people outside of Blount know about.

What brought me to Duck Donuts was the need for 3 dozen donuts and Richy Kreme was closed. My son had mentioned how good they were so I gave them a try. They were still warm when I got to Greenback.

Had Sam and Andy's again in Fountain City.

Double Vol Bacon Burger with fries.

Might be the best burger I have eaten in Knoxville!

Ok, when you classify it as "the best Knoxville burger you've ever had" what exactly does this mean? Have you actually eaten burgers at legit places that are highly rated by customers? Does the patty alone offer a wonderful flavor, is it the size/quantity of the burger, is it everything that goes with it that makes it the best, was alcohol involved in the consumption of this burger, did you get laid immediately after eating said burger?

I believe when he says it's "the best Knoxville burger he's ever had" he means exactly that it's the best Knoxville burger he's ever had.

It's not in Knoxville but close enough. If you're in the Seymour area do not miss Chapman's Restaurant on, Chapman. Large portions of home cooked southern style food. No hot bar, no salad bar, good ! Just greatly prepared food. Two large mouth watering pork chops, two sides. 21 piece lightly battered shrimp, hush puppies and two sides. Two teas, garlic knots. $28. My goodness everything was very good including the wait staff. The place very clean. We could not eat it all, which is not usually a problem for us :) we'll be back very soon.

I tried the new 1000 Neapolitan Pizza in Turkey Creek today. It opened last Thursday.

It's a lot like Blaze but not as good. Skip.

I'll break down your post.

I have eaten at Stock and Barrel, Nick and J's, Sam and Andy's West (yes its different), Litton's, Five Guys, We're Cooking All-American (when it was open), Fuddrcuker's (my second favorite now), and other places too.

The patty is definitely flavorful, and cooked well. For a well-done patty, its got a lot of moisture. The bacon they served with it was very good too. Also, one of my biggest pet peaves with burgers are the bun. If it can't hold up to the burger and toppings, you might as well be eating a hamburger steak. Their bun is perfect for the size of the burger.

, was alcohol involved in the consumption of this burger

No.

did you get laid immediately after eating said burger?

I could have used a cigarette after eating it, but I stopped smoking in 2011. It was really good.

The next time I go, I will also take a picture, as its a pretty massive burger too.

Ricky Kreme is and always will be my fave but I admit to never trying Duck Donuts. Have the lines subsided there? I refuse to stand in line for a donut. If that means missing out, so be it :D

I like the donuts at Honeybee Coffee. Not my fave but not overly sweet so a good option when I don't want the sugar laden diabetes hit of Richy Kreme.

Fair enough. If you get the opportunity add a Connors burger and Flemings prime burger($8 at the bar).

Only one small group in front of me at around
8:30 am but it was a on a holiday so most people were probably sleeping in. I was there less than 15 minutes.

It's hard to not get the Fish and Chips at Connors. It's weird, but I dip the fish in BBQ sauce. It's my go to there. Their prime rib is really good too!

The wife and I moved to Powell recently. We ate at a little local place here called The Front Porch last night. Very impressed.

It's basically an old home converted into a restaurant, but the setup is very old fashioned. They have tables literally on the front porch. The menu is odd, not what you would think. Burgers mostly. No good old mashed potatoes and gravy or anything. Price tag is up there too, but it was very good food.

There's a gift shop upstairs too. That was cool.

Bonefish is part of Bloomin' Brands. Same owner for Carrabba's, Outback, and Flemings.

Oh, I know. I was specifically referring to the Kobe burger at Bonefish. Honestly, though, I have never had a bad meal there. Consistently good seafood, fair pricing, nice salad.
