I actually like their crust because it's different from everywhere else. It's often mistaken for a whole wheat crust or a whole wheat-flour blend. It's actually a flour based crust with molasses added which gives it that darker wheat look.

MM does have great sandwiches and salads. The Magical Mystery Tour pizza (I add grilled chicken or sausage) is my favorite pie. We go regularly, and I've never really had a problem with service or wait. It does get busy on weekend nights, but they have a nice tap selection to keep you occupied.

Empire Pizza is better and faster, plus it’s BYOB and no cork fee.

It isn't so, just ate there a little over a month ago and it was fantastic.

You could always just mainline silicone. The poor little steak looks like an afterthought next to the 2.5 pounds of greased potatoes and the cup of butter!

My favorite is definitely a light crust cooked in an inferno...see: A Dopo, Hard Knox, Blaze. MM is good in its own manner, but I can totally understand if you don't like it. I don't eat the crust end there anyway.

I have yet to try Blaze, will have to remedy that. I love thin crusts, make it as close to a cracker as possible and I am in.

I like that I can load it up with as many toppings as I want for one price. You will dig the thin crust. Give the pesto sauce a try for a break from red sauce -- good with feta, chicken, ham, shrooms, artichokes, kalamata olives, garlic, basil...

I haven'tbeen to the sizzler in around 35 years, I do remember their paper thin steaks. That's not the case here, perfectly cooked 12 oz filet.

Mainline silicone, that's a good analogy? Well I don't believe I will base my choices of steak houses from individuals who consider mellow mushroom to be good pizza. Thanks but nah.

Hard Knox is hands down the best pizza in Knoxville.

Honorable mentions go to Empire, Stefanos and Elidios.

I really enjoyed Full Service BBQ when it first opened in Knoxville, but no more. Started off really well, but the last two visits have been progressively worse with the added bonus of raised prices. They are now dead to me.

What did you get? I haven’t been since opening week. It was ok but didn’t think it was great.
