Knoxville Restaurants

When they went to the L&N it changed for me. The quality went down and the prices up. While I agree it's a south Knox tradition, it's far from the best steak in ktown. Conners has it beat and for the price, Downtown Grill and brewery has a better ribeye and strip

Connors is our favorite place to eat steaks. We make it a point to go there as often as we can. They do a great lobster as well.

I'm still a Peddler guy for steaks.

I realize its not a pinnacle of all that is steak when it comes to restaurants, but I just really like it.

The Peddler is a great place to get steak. If you can sit at a table along the windows in the back you get a great view of the stream. I don't go here as often simply because it's in Gatlinburg.

Had a burger from Aubrey's last night. Pretty darn good. Anybody try Burgerfi?

Aubrey's has some pretty good dishes imo. I LOVE the Hawaiian Ribeye that they have. They also have a really good buttermilk fried chicken which is a very healthy portion.

Blackhorse Pub and Brewery for Pizza and Beer

You make me laugh everytime you plug BH pub.

Finally made it down to Dead End BBQ. Very good and worth the drive. A little different dry rub on the ribs than I'm used too, but it worked. Good smoke to the brisket, chicken, and pork. Nice balance on the sauce (sweet/heat/vinegar). Loved the blue cheese and bacon cole slaw, the greens were phenomenal, and the jalapeño cheese cornbread muffins were some of the best I've had.

Ye Olde is another unimpressive and overrated restaurant.

It so not where close to the quality of steaks that you can get a high end steakhouse. It is no better than a Longhorn Steakhouse, but costs 30% more.

Some folks need to get out more often and enjoy some finer places to eat.

Places I've had better steaks in Knoxville: Ruth's Chris, Fleming's, Conner's, Rouxbarb (now closed). I'd call Copper Cellar a wash. Not traditional steakhouses, but Echo, Seasons, Orangery, and Cru do a fine job with their beef offerings, as well.

I like Echo, superb service.

You will never have anything but a perfectly cooked steak at Ruth's Chris. Their quality control is immaculate.

Good and excellent is to the belly and taste buds of the beholder. Once a meal gets to a ridiculous price, there is no value for me.

Agree. Ruth's Chris' service is pretty sorry for the $$$$. Steaks are great, but I've not had anything else of note there.

Wow, I've had great service at every RC I've visited. The chopped salad and tuna appetizer are both excellent. There seems to be little variation in quality from one to the next, which eliminates the element of disappointment.
