Knoxville Restaurants

I've only eaten at Cru twice and both times I had good potions. Once was brunch and the other I had a pizza that was pretty filling.

I like Cru a lot, but we always order a few different dishes and share them.

I was the only one not drinking that night. I didn't have much sleep the night before so I was tired as hell and figured drinking anything would send me packing. I have heard the drinks are up to par there and the drinks the others got were approved. I just wasn't blown away by the dish I got.

I haven't heard much feedback this winter in this thread. Has anyone tried any new/different places?

Whats this Blackhorse place serve ?

Horse burger .

They actually have a good menu. Trip advisor has it ranked 74 out of 1,045 Knoxville Restaurants.

Several posters have been there and given it good reviews.

Here is their website with menu.

Walk across the parking lot and get one of the best pizzas in Knoxville at Hard Knox Pizza.

Cajun Pasta looks good

My go-to during trivia at Blackhorse is the chicken nachos (at a special price during trivia time). I have them substitute fries for the chips. The cheese for it is their beer cheese. Fantastic. And get the cookie for dessert. OMG good.

Also nice to meet ya, V_I_AR! Have a safe trip when you head back

Agreed
Your updates on the renovations were spot on
The place had a great atmosphere and the bourbon was good
I'll try some food on my next trip over

Thanks Gramps

I've never understood the fascination with Hard Knox.

Unless you want Lettuce and Beets pizza with Artichokes and raspberry sauce, avoid Hard Knox.

Me personally, when I want pizza, I want a big greasy slice with pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, etc.

Hard Knox is the best pizza in Knoxville. The Pulled Punch is phenomenal. There are several other very solid pizzas.

I <3 NY Pizza in Farragut has the best pizza.

Also, this place I've heard of, K-Town Tavern, has pretty solid pizzas too lol

From Hard Knox's own menu:

This pie is another culinary master piece and work of fine art. We start with Holly’s homemade Cauliflower Hummus mixed with her own special Tahini Vinaigrette, then drop on Holly’s house-made Lamb meatballs which are infused with mint and thyme. Next comes diced tomatoes, onions and then topped with a helping of Holly’s own Bulgarian feta. Once it’s out of the oven we drop on helping of Arugula mixed with Tahini Vinaigrette and then topped with Cruze Farms Ricotta Chese Crumbles.

Get this garbage outta here.
