No it doesn’t “just” show that. Oversimplifying things to fit your predetermined opinions is just your thing, isn’t it?

You realize she can’t just decline to prosecute, right? Victims aren’t entitled to drop cases because they feel like it. It’s always annoying to have DV victims who show up and try to do that. The prosecutor’s first obligation is supposed to be to the community. They can subpoena her and use other forms of leverage to get her to court. They often will if there is a credible prior statement and good evidence that corroborates the events described in the prior statement. At the very least, they maintain the charge and use threat of trial with her as an uncooperative witness as leverage against him.

So if this sentence isn’t a result of what actually happened, it’s the result of the prosecutor trying to leverage the available evidence of rape against a defendant that’s stuck in jail into the toughest sentence he can get and the best he could do was… “go home today?”

Must have been a slam dunk case.

Apparently the jury wants to view video. They’re now arguing how many times and the process of going about it. Doubtful that there’s a verdict today.

On Wednesday, Judge Schroeder griped specifically about Toobin’s coverage of the “victim” ruling.

“This was on CNN — Jeffrey Toobin and another attorney there — and a comment was made that the ruling was incomprehensible, and I think they obviously are not familiar with this rule,” the judge said.

He continued, taking aim at the broader press, saying, “I’m going to comment about the media again because there was a gentleman on TV night before last who said this is the most divisive case in the country to date. So anything that undermines public confidence in what happens here is very important.”

“It’s important for this town,” Schroeder said, “it’s important for this country, to have people have confidence in the result of this trial, whatever it is. And I don’t care what it is.”

Earlier, during jury selection on Tuesday, Schroeder also bemoaned what he characterizes as a glut of “irresponsible” news coverage, including reports that are “deliberately biased.”

Just like with the veteran’s day stuff, and pontificating about the Bible to explain a hearsay ruling, etc. etc. There’s nothing “wrong” with it that would taint the process, it’s just bizarre behavior for a judge, it seems like attention seeking, and he’s clearly following what is being said about him.

I read a pool reporter’s comment that he always has the defendant draw lots for the alternate jurors so it’s possible that he’s just very eccentric, but it seems like there’s a common thread through all of it.

Another riot could really work against Biden since he was kinda running on

"returning America back to normal"

Since everything he's done has been abnormal, if people see the same discord they saw under Trump then they may grow more sour on señor dementia.

Maybe they use it to embolden their further dismantling of America

Maybe it hurts them

Maybe those who are in charge, Biden's puppet masters, call the doggies off
