Kyle Rittenhouse - The Truth in 11 Minutes

Rittenhouse is a flippin moron but not a criminal, I don’t know how else to say it.

Based on what? To agree I’d have to find fault in his actions. Would I personally show up to defend a business in my community? Absolutely.

Would you not?

I think your take on Arbery is way off. I hope those involved go to jail for a very long time. They deserve it.

KR should be acquitted of murder charges. Whether or not he will be, we'll see. I'm curious why deliberations are going on as long as they have.
I'm wondering if they're stuck on the lesser offenses.

I would not put myself in that situation unless it was my business or property. It’s not my job nor my responsibility.

Because the felons chased rittenhouse and assaulted him and grabbed his gun as he was fleeing. Arbury was not going to get shot until he turned around and grabbed the shotgun and attacked the son. Both led to their own deaths by stupidity

Of course thats your take on Arbery... there were pretend cops involved!

Yes. It wasn’t his job nor his responsibility, unless you believe a man has a responsibility to his community.

I can’t fault a man for a selfless act

If this were you and you were found not guilty - would you do it again?

Of course. Would you allow your community to burn and people to be hurt just because some thugs attacked you?

Do you see man as having no responsibility to his community?

You would go through all this again? Trial, lawyer fees, the headache? I wouldn’t go through it once, much less again and again.

Yes I see responsibility to my community. I’m not, however, stupid enough to walk into an inflamed situation with tensions high.

If somebody loots my business or breaks into my house or attacks me or my family they will be shot. But I’m not going out of my way to look for it. Why would anybody? Doing so is not serving the community, it’s being a total idiot.

This is 100% fair and objectively prudent from a risk assessment standpoint. I'm conflicted over the idea of blanket condemnation for anyone that would feel driven to go somewhere to render aid* in a conflicted area and be armed for the purposes of self defense precisely because it was a conflicted area. So is it obviously the "safer" move not to be there? Absolutely. Is it fair to throw anyone under the bus for not adhering to the "not my problem" viewpoint of civil unrest? I don't think that's such an easy question.

*There seems little dispute he did in fact come with a medkit and apparently had a fire extinguisher in his hand literally up to the point of the Rosenbaum confrontation.

Except he didn’t actually confront anyone. There’s video of him with a group of men at a gas station and a group of protesters confronting them. Then obviously the four men he shot also confronted him.

But who did he confront and when?

He was there to confront, otherwise why would you show up to a riot with a gun? Active "protection" requires and expects confrontation. He was literally a participant in the event and doesn't matter which "side" he was there supporting. Stop pretending this idiot kid was there to sing kum by yah and be a be an arbiter of peaceful change.

If you want to argue he had the right and was in the right to defend himself, I'll be right there with you. But if you're suggesting it was a good idea to go to a riot, openly armed then I'll have to assume you lack the same awareness Kyle does.

Such odd logic to me. You guys continually blame the minor instead of the adults who showed up to actually commit criminal acts
They keep twisting it to fit their narrative...once it came out that Gaige pulled the gun first the prosecutors had to then try to show...via that distorted left hand gun holding phantom pic that Kyle provoked Rosenbaum...without that now there is..and honestly never was a case....who was and who wasn't there is irrelevant...hell Rosenbaum would go to jail for asking underage Kyle the time and violating his no contact with anyone under 18 court order..everyone twists facts to fit their narrative but this case has been the worst I've seen for it misinformation and outright lies

Police were okay with it...on livestream bringing them water and telling them they appreciated them being there Screenshot_20211116-130648_Chrome.jpg

It's irrelevant. But he claims it was to help the community. He backed it up with his actions by cleaning graffiti, putting out fires and helping injured people whether he was certified or not. He had a weapon to protect himself and it turns out, it was a good decision.

If the people with intent to set fires, destroy, loot and riot weren't there, Rittenhouse isn't there. Rittenhouse is the only one that has a reasonable explanation to be there.

From a legal standpoint, perhaps. My tongue in cheek remark was about the common sense of anyone thinking it'd be a good idea for an untrained, armed kid to insert himself into a chaotic situation where the threat of violence was imminent.

Trying to paint this kid as a graffiti cleaning hero is laughable.

You see the video of him beating up the girl? Yes, he's a real asset to the "community."

Of course they wouldn't, the keyboard virtue signaling is out of control in here.

It's less laughable than trying to paint him as a war monger. He is the only one of the people in question that showed up to do positive things and certainly the only one of the ones in question to DO positive things during that time frame. I think we needed more people willing to protect their communities so the rioters were deterred from causing damage and mayhem. Is he a hero ? Eh. That's a stretch.

Given your opinion on officers, it seems you wouldn't think they are the appropriate party either so where's that leave the community? SOL?

The government failed to do it. If we want actual blame for the incidents, it's the individuals that ordered the police to stand down and rejected national guard help. It ends there.

But remember the protests were mostly peaceful...and just a little firey..50 millions 100s of businesses burned.. some still boarded up..1000s of cars destroyed....police couldn't help because the media's microscope were on them..so let's all just sit home until the rioters "get all the hurt feelings" out of their system

So you would defend your business on your own? You wouldn't ask anyone for help?

I would ask law enforcement and people trained and paid to do so for help. If it is my business I’m out there armed to teeth daring somebody to be stupid. If I see a teenager out there with a rifle I’m telling him I think he should go home, but you do you.

Law enforcement was told to stand down. They aren't helping you. You still gonna be Rambo?

Then I guess you are right, we should depend on teenagers with no training for help. They are a pillar of the community. 🙄

I’ll say it again, Rittenhouse didn’t break any laws, but he had no reason to be out there. It is what it is and people died and he is standing trial because he didn’t stay home.

I legitimately believe and hope he is found not guilty. But no reasonable person would do it again, present company excluded, it seems.
