'19 LA RB John Emery Jr (LSU commit)

Georgia extended the first scholarship to Emery, back on Jan. 25, 2017.

"Me and Georgia been at it," Emery said. "Georgia was my first offer. Much love for Georgia. They utilize their backs. I feel like it would be a nice rotation. They lost Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, so they have Swift and Zamir. I think it would be just right if I went to Georgia."

Emery, the No. 31 overall prospect in the country, made multiple visits to Athens this spring and brought his family with him this time.-247

Still not quite to Bama level, anyone recall that ridiculous class of 4 RB they had in Kamara’s Class?
Altee Tenpenny, AK, Henry?

I think they are really benefiting from having run a pro style offense for years in the era of the spread. These kids nowadays don't want to rack up a lot of carries in college. They know Alabama and Georgia are going to prepare them for an NFL offense, that they are going to run the ball and are committed to it. These kids like going there because of all that and they can get a lot of exposure getting 10-12 carries a game. I hope that since we are going to the same type offense/overall philosophy (which we should have never left to start with) and will get the same type of exposure (if we can win a little bit), we will become a beneficiary of this also.

My brother in law knows someone connected in some way with Georgia who told him six months ago that Georgia is cheating in recruiting big time. I never give much weight to those comments but their success lately has me wondering....

funny but my brother-in-law is a connected Dawg and he said GA was in the "game". It seems to be working.

Get pointers, we could use the help.

"a friend of a friend" reliability is solid.

I have been following recruiting for 40 years, and when a University starts winning recruits likeUGA did last year, and like they are this year, you usually find out sooner or later that it wasn't just luck or effort.

It has been obvious when Auburn and Ole Miss were doing it. Now, it is looking more and more obvious. Yeah, you would expect them to recruit top 10 in the country, but this is getting ridiculous.

They've had 5 star RB John Emery, Jr.; 4 star ATH Mayika Tongue, and 4 star LB Rian Davis all announce commitments TONIGHT. It's absurd, apparently they had a big recruiting weekend which featured the opening of their newly renovated stadium players' facilities, like 60 million dollars or something.

I understand that sentiment exactly. Because you are a recruitnik, take note and recall Kirby Smarts recruiting history. He recruited some of the best in CFB over the last 10 years at Bama. Now add rising coach Dell Mcghee into the mix. Mcghee is Pruittesque in his ascendance, in that just five years ago he was an analyst and then a RB coach at Georgia Southern; a running backs coach. Kirby Smart was a part of engineering a very identical turn around at Bama. He learned under Saban how to change the culture, he was just exceptionally fortunate at UGA to inherit a bit of left over talent to build up his own team.

Unfortunately if you’re not cheating then you’re probably not winning much.....in the south for sure imo

Correct. This has been planned for many weeks. The weekend event was called "The Reveal"; they revealed the new UGA locker room and the new space to host and entertain recruits. The old locker room was an embarrassment. Worst in the SEC.

Its impossible for us to cheat; Auburn wont give any classes

I think UGA cheats. I think we(UT) cheat. I think every team cheats. It's just a matter of how much, and not getting caught. I get the attitude of not wanting to admit it, but really, why deny it? As long as he doesn't get caught, it's just a sign you hired a good coach.

I've been in the room when AJ green got a stack of bills. We all do it. Those game day condos by the holiday inn have alot of fun money.
