Lady Vols Logo

I really believe it has to be Haslam. He is not only the governor, but chairman of the BOT and one of UT's biggest donors as well as the Haslam family. Cheeks is a front man.

Also, if someone could organize a boycott of all VOL merchandise unless this is reversed.

I don't really want this to be reversed. I just want them to let the women decide. I think they deserve that.

If UT BOT would hire an independent third party accounting firm to do a survey of all current coaches, players and past Lady Vol alumni and whatever they decide then I would be fine with it.

Ahh crap! Just bought a buttload of Vols stuff online!...oh well...too late now.

Getting sorta scared that Gillooly knows what my girlfriend does/doesn't say and my online purchase history. Whatcha doing down in that spank dungeon? :)

Seems to me that most Lady Vols fans are also fans of the men's programs and have regular Vols attire also, so the sales of Lady Vols attire would be in addition and result in more revenue.

Wife's been dead a year and 2 months so I'm allowed I think...not sure what part you're laughing about.

Well, this is proof that some people can be funny on the internet and some people shouldn't bother. I'm very sorry I offended you, butchna. :hi:

Had a rough week with my in-laws...they put some horrible thing's out on my wife's FB page. Read your post while I was dealing with some of that and set the bear trap off on your foot. Wasn't fair of me...my apologies.

Old people should not be on social media

No worries, butchna - I figured something was going on because you're usually funny & unflappable. Hate it about your in-laws. Hang in there.

here is an article about the Lady Vols Softball Team, that Hart and company should have considered

"Those recruits identify the program with the Lady Vols logo. Why change something that is working so well?

"Not only do future Tennessee softball players identify with that logo. So do former players, including 18 first-team All-Americans in the past 11 seasons."

Will Freak keep the logo and name on the forum, come July 1st ?

That is a good question.....I sure hope it doesn't just say "women's sports."

To me the name Lady Vols has always been magic. And I'm a guy that likes and follows all sports at UT.

I really hate this controversy about the name. To me they will always be Lady Vols. They have always represented us with class...Now as a reward we'll just take your name away.

at a guess I would think he will, why mess with something that is growing each and every year ? us members seem to like it really well,so I see no reason to change it

and we know he has to be smarter than the BOT, Hart and Company :pepper:

he does understand what the Fans like, unlike others :)

Yankee, when I asked if you were Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, or Coast Guard, it took you six minutes to proudly respond, "Army". Do you not feel a part of your brothers in the other Armed Forces? I am sure you did not mean to denigrate them by proudly claiming to be "Army" as opposed to 'we are all one, there is no difference in the Armed Forces'. That is what the Lady Vols feel. Yes, they are All One. Just as you and your service brothers are. Being proud of being a Lady Vol and wanting to claim that well earned title is no different than when you proclaim "Army". They are both something that identifies you and you are proud to have earned. It makes them no less a UT Vol than proclaiming Army makes you less a member of the US Armed Services.

I appreciate your service and I believe you have the right to proudly claim "ARMY" and to wear a uniform that identifies you as such. I just feel the UT female athletes should have the same right.

Small, I am with you. If making a point was scoring a basketball shot, you just made a backboard shattering slam dunk. Now, if only Dave Hart were to read this, and get your point. I believe he and those he listens to are dead set on tossing the Lady Vols legacy in the trash. Very sad.
