Lady Vols - National Anthem

I can’t understand why someone would wish harm of any sort on these girls. No crime was committed. And the commenters obviously don’t understand what the kneeling actually represents. If they do understand it and continue to speak out against it, then they are racists.
Racist, racist, racist. Everybody is a f***ing racist these days.

My friend I watched the State Congressional hearings in Pa,Ga,Mich,Nev and Arizona live on OAN .OAN had nothing in commentary in those hearings ...it was the congressional hearings with sworn testimony .So I do not care whether you read it or not it is a fact that over 1500 sworn testimony statements produced .You need to take your head squarely out of the sand or even better learn how to read .

By the way did you watch those hearings ? If there are no adjustment to " mail in ballots in the next federal elections ....you may have a real revolution in this country.

Spoken just like a ignorant liberal. Just because we don’t agree with your stupid beliefs makes us racist. Here’s a new flash for you. You don’t believe in ours then your a RACIST.

That is sad .....to base your views on how recruits will view kneeling.Kneeling for the National Anthem is a disgrace....it demeans our flag and our country I do not care if you are categorized as liberal, conservative, red, blue ,black ,yellow, brown or albino.Millions have served in our military to preserve freedom so anyone can do what they wish in this regard but do not use the University as a platform for the same.I talked with the Chancellor on this issue yesterday.I served in the Army for 28 years and was in two wars and a scrape in Panama.....its is sad to see anyone use kneeling to protest our country during the National Anthem. The team deserved to be BOOED and if it happens again I hope they are booed off the court.
Again, it’s a disgrace and demeans the flag in your opinion. What makes your opinion more relevant than someone who disagrees with you? Spare me the “I served” canard. Just because you served doesn’t give your opinion more weight on this issue. Plenty of people who served not only don’t care about people kneeling for the anthem, they’ve knelt themselves.

I am sorry Lucy you are dead wrong .Have you served in the Military and had hot lead flying around your ass to help preserve the freedoms in the Country called the United States of America ? I have for 28 years and thru two wars and a scrape in Panama .
Again, just because you served gives your opinion no more weight than someone who didn’t. I wouldn’t personally kneel for the anthem, but could care less what someone else does. And btw, I served three tours in Iraq as a United States Marine, so I can damn well guarantee you that I “had hot lead flying around my ass to help preserve the freedoms in the Country called the United States of America.”

where in his post does he claim that his opinion carries more weight? Just as your service doesn’t carry any more weight in your opinion. It’s a matter of different opinions. If you don’t care about them kneeling that’s your right. He’s entitled to his.

Oh Jesus Christ it doesn’t mean that they’re racist. People can acknowledge that there are serious issues happening in the country and still disagree with kneeling during the anthem. People can be uncomfortable with the treatment of minorities and still be hesitant to embrace the BLM movement and the policy prescriptions proposed by many on the left.

You are correct but I do have the right to have that opinion and express that opinion .

Not that I’ve seen. Just on social media like Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. I believe that whomever runs the pages on Facebook have tried to delete those harmful comments so that’s good.
You’re triggering people. Please tone down the rhetoric

I've followed Lady Vols for 25 years. But kneeling during the national anthem, I'm done. I get the scars some may be dealing with, but this is the wrong stage to protest.

Isn't kneeling in prayer a sign of respect?

I think a lot of folks are underestimating the impact on the fanbase this is resulting in. My mother in law for example, , is one of the most loyal LV fans you will find. She attends many home and road games each year. Her SUV is adorned with LV swag and she knew Pat for years. She was practicality in tears this afternoon. She said she was probably done with them. She travels with a group of about a dozen folks and she said they were mostly of the same opinion.

Get woke go broke.

I can think of nothing more American then protesting the government and it's "sacred" institutions. Did everyone forget the ideals on which we were founded? I am pretty confident the founders would be all good with kneeing during an anthem or even burning the flag.

Turnovers by the Lady Vols and ball steals by LSU came close to costing the game. The Lady Vols had 19 turnover while LSU had only 11. LSU had 14 steals of the Lady Vols...the highest that I can remember in any game. I have not yet seen the information of points scored by LSU off the turnovers and steals. The Lady Vols just are not taking care of the basketball. It came right down to the final minute before we won.
Should probably focus on basketball instead of kneeling.
