Tamari Key on official visit this weekend !!! 65 center from NC . Her and little sis were here last year on their dime....
Her other schools are Duke , Florida Stare , Louisville, and Virginia Tech.
If we get her this would be huge ! Note her Nike Elite Youth Basketball team did very well. Carolina Flames defeat Lady Phoenix! BEST TEAM IN NC! Girls EYBL - YouTube
I wanna know who #22, #2 and #15 are on the black team. Those are some tough guards! #22 is really athletic and #2 and #15 are both quick with long 3 point range. There were several players that looked pretty good for the Flames. That team looks DEEP!
Prospectsnation has her as # 50 overall and the # 8 post player in the class. Dan Olsen of ESPN Hoopgurlz has her as the # 12 post in the class and had this to say about her after the Boo Williams Invitational:
"Low-post prospect with superior length, shot blocking presence; rebounds and initiates the fast break; emerging back-to-basket game; imposing size patrols the lane, alters shots; sleeper prospect with high ceiling."
Don't know if she'll move up in the rankings or not, but I'd say she would be a welcome addition to the Lady Vols. She reminds me somewhat of Izzy Harrison.

Coaching matters more than player rankings, but will Tamari Key be ranked in the top 60?
With a verbal from Emily Saunders , do we really want another potential post? Harris and KK are still potential players maybe .... with limited scholarships and interest in Kennedy Brown and Maori Davenport (2019) and Karadosa (2020) I think we should potentially wait and see ? JMO
She was originally and like most players when they list Tennessee in their Top 5 they ironic fall out of their position or drop really lower than they should be.
At one point she was like Top 40 in the Super 60.
Remember Harris would only have 1 season left and probably will still be a rotational player (If she hasn't grad transferred to finish her final season at a smaller program). Key is a huge upgrade over her.
Saunders has potential but still has a year to develop and is still growing (could be 6'8" by the time she arrives on campus)
I think with Key, Brown, and Davenport it will be whoever verbals or signs first will be the next post selected. We could potentially add 3 but idk if we are as high as we once were on Cardoso especially with the guards and Wings Plus a better Post who serve as more of a priority in the 2020 class (Hunt, Gusters, Goforth, and potentially another Hayes sister)
Agree with anyone being a upgrade over Harris! I guess getting Brown from out west is probably not going to happen? And Davenport from Alabama potentially would be closer? I like the idea of Key especially since little sister is already 62 and playing guard! She may stay close to home at Duke or Va. Tech. Or pass on us to Louisville or Fl. State??? Speaking of sisters... is Aislynn 2019 definitely out? And Alasia definitely in ??? Aislynn is a PG and held her own Against Massengill and HH!! Both sisters shoot the three better than Annie! Just saying!
Are you saying Gusters 64 is better than Cardosa at 66 ? Cardosa is 100% improved from freshman to Sophomore... cant imagine two more years to improve!! Have not seen Gusters?
Can we talk another Texas girl to come to UT? I think Hunt and Cardosa from HH would be a better BET since Jaz is already here and coach Hunt and Holly have a relationship? Just saying
We need posts,,, but with scholarships tight .... three would not be smart on one year! JMO. If Harris would Grad. Transfer that would help ?? If we dont get another post in 2019???? Then Gusters and Cardosa would fit! JMO
Gusters is a lot better than Cardosa, many feel Cardosa is a good as she's going to get. She isn't very fast and doesn't have an outside shoot.
Speed is one thing I think you either have or you don't, she can be coached into developing an outside shot.
Gusters will be hard to get away from Texas but having seen them both play, Gusters is much better than Cardosa and is only about an inch shorter.
Cardosa is a post that imo is better served at like Duke or Oklahoma that's just my take.
Agree that she only has inside game for now ..,, two more years to grow her game ! But I have seen a big change for her! Just saying
Trust your judgment on Gusters (I have not seen her game ) but it took us how many years to get another player out of Texas? If we can get the better athlete then that would be better. Treasure Hunt would she come without Coradosa ?
just afor the passion and assessments that the four of above boarders provide. As I have stated before the only knowledge in the beginning was 1/2 page in the annual Smith and Street (men's) basketball magazine. As colleagues you have put in the time to add content, and not idle comments. We are fortunate.
