Tamari Key on official visit this weekend !!! 6’5” center from NC . Her and little sis were here last year on their dime....

Her other schools are Duke , Florida Stare , Louisville, and Virginia Tech.

I wanna know who #22, #2 and #15 are on the black team. Those are some tough guards! #22 is really athletic and #2 and #15 are both quick with long 3 point range. There were several players that looked pretty good for the Flames. That team looks DEEP! :thumbsup:

No, these were guards and they were good! I recognized the Keys but those guards stole the show. :yes:

I wanna know who #22, #2 and #15 are on the black team. Those are some tough guards! #22 is really athletic and #2 and #15 are both quick with long 3 point range. There were several players that looked pretty good for the Flames. That team looks DEEP! :thumbsup:

22 - Shaniya Jones; 15 - Jada McMillian; 2 - Kendal Moore. At least, according to the 2017 roster, which included Tamari Key.

Jones is 2018 and signed with VA Tech. The other two are 2019.

Prospectsnation has her as # 50 overall and the # 8 post player in the class. Dan Olsen of ESPN Hoopgurlz has her as the # 12 post in the class and had this to say about her after the Boo Williams Invitational:

"Low-post prospect with superior length, shot blocking presence; rebounds and initiates the fast break; emerging back-to-basket game; imposing size patrols the lane, alters shots; sleeper prospect with high ceiling."

Don't know if she'll move up in the rankings or not, but I'd say she would be a welcome addition to the Lady Vols. She reminds me somewhat of Izzy Harrison.

I agree like Izzy Harrison skills, But to me Key will come into College with more offensive skills.

Pretty cool! Saw this pic online look at how much taller Kennedy is than Glory Johnson and the other professional player! But Azura Stevens is 6’6” and she is looking like she is either shoulder to shoulder or maybe a smidge taller!

Are you saying Gusters 6’4” is better than Cardosa at 6’6” ? Cardosa is 100% improved from freshman to Sophomore... can’t imagine two more years to improve!! Have not seen Gusters?
Can we talk another Texas girl to come to UT? I think Hunt and Cardosa from HH would be a better BET since Jaz is already here and coach Hunt and Holly have a relationship? Just saying

Just a reminder too that the LV still have a commitment from 2021 6’3/6’4” (and still growing her dad was 6’6” I think) Amani Bartlett!! She reminds me of Rickea Jackson at the beginning stages of playing downlow but expanding her game to the perimeter and being able to handle the ball. If you get Davis 6’2” can has 3/4 skills then Jackson 6’3” 3/4 and can pull up jump shoot and working on expanding her three point shot and then have Bartlett once Davis is gone to help back up Davis that would be sweet! A lot can happen Jackson doesn’t come here... Bartlett reopens commitment but it is an exciting thought!

Gusters is a lot better than Cardosa, many feel Cardosa is a good as she's going to get. She isn't very fast and doesn't have an outside shoot.

Speed is one thing I think you either have or you don't, she can be coached into developing an outside shot.

Gusters will be hard to get away from Texas but having seen them both play, Gusters is much better than Cardosa and is only about an inch shorter.

I think she would. I also think Cardosa will land at Florida State because of Nicollete (although she'd be a senior when she arrive) they both are originally from Brazil and the Florida State coach is recruiting her hard.

Jasmine's relationship with Hunt along with Hunt's relationship with Holly and Hunt's admiration for Coach Summitt really puts her as ours to lose imo.

We have the greatest shot at Gusters if we are going to get her out of Texas because she played with Zay Green for Two years at Duncanville (the same High School as we all know by now that Tamika Catchings played at as well). Again I don't think Gusters leaves Texas (she loves the Longhorns and we know how Kim Mulkey does when she wants a recruit).

As I have stated before the only knowledge in the beginning was 1/2 page in the annual Smith and Street (men's) basketball magazine. As colleagues you have put in the time to add content, and not idle comments. We are fortunate.

I still have my Street & Smith magazines and every now and then I go thru them. It lets me know how old I've gotten but it's still fun to see how far along these young ladies have come and also a moment to wonder "whatever happened to".
