Lady Vols Recruiting Info

No doubt post players are the priority in 2019. If we have a list of the players were going after we need two players in this category. We are fine at PG, SG could use a player that can defend and stroke the three. The four could use a backup and the three is fine.

Someone the other day suggested starting a post with updated recruiting information. I claim no inside information, but have put together a list of the current roster (broken down by year of graduation) along with a number of recruits who have either expressed an interest in the Lady Vols, have been noted as being recruited by the Tennessee staff, or have otherwise been linked with the program as potential recruits.

If anyone has any additional information, feel free to add to it or contact me by pm and I will update this post. I will try to keep the status updated on a fairly regular basis.

I hope this is of interest to most of you.
Have listed the rankings by FullCourt (FC) and ProspectNation (PN) (the guys who used to be Hoopgurlz until ESPN pulled the plug) and BlueStar (BS)

Does anyone have a full list for 2019 the only player mentioned has already committed to another school.

Different types:

Asilyn is the point guard... and for two years she has played point while having four other Divisions I players to keep happy including sister Annie last year. She will shoot the three but looks to distribute the ball. If the defense is lax, she is taking it to the goal!!!

Alasia is the more aggressive and even outsized will mix it up with the inside bigs. I think her three shot is better than Asilynn but she would penetrate before taking the three. Keep in mind she is only a sophomore and still developing her game!!!!

The baby sister is rumored to be the best athlete? I have not seen her play! However , her eight grade team from Christiana was introduced at the state tournament as winning their league. Not surprised 😲

The youngest Hayes sister (Acacia ) lead her eighth grade team to their championship and (Undefeated) season while averaging over 20 points a game !!! 👍

Fun fact. I went to High School with Amira Collins father and Uncle. Both were outstanding athletes. If she has inherited any of those traits,y'all are getting a good one. Last time I saw uncle Jo he invited me golfing. I think I'll take him up on it so we can talk basketball.

Top ten recruit Rickea Jackson (Mi) had an on home visit with Rutgers. She had an unofficial visit at UT on 12/10/17.

Top ten recruit Jordan Horston ( Oh ) had an in home visit with North Carolina. She had an unofficial visit with UT 1/4/18.

I hope the coaches are working on recruiting??? Especially since they aren’t busy now!!! 😈

I hope these two girls are shooters. Not just athletes.

I Agree about needing a shooter !

However, You can see that both have other schools interested. I enjoy following the recruiting process. Will they stay close to their home states or willing to go for long distances to school? Did they play AAU ball together? Do they even know each other??
Are their parents involved or an influence! Looking at different recruiting services and how they rank them! Plus going back a few years later and seeing their development verses their rankings! Just an interesting pass time...😁

signed with Memphis. She is a player who plays best when matched up against good competition.

Watched her for four years. She's a baller and if the game is close I really hate it for the other team. I mentioned her in the summer on this board and maybe even last season. After realizing UT had no real shot I stopped mentioning her. I don't think Memphis was the best choice for her though.

Rae Burrell moved up to #43 from #45 and Amira Collins up to #49 from #69 plus Zarelle moves from #13 to #10. This helped move us into fourth position team wise! Jax has been 25 or 26 for awhile!

duke, NC, UCLA and Ohio State not in top 20. given Cal and Texas quality only Stanford, Baylor and Texas, (perhaps Okla) Maryland only big ten and they remain a ACC transplant.

Everybody has her pretty much a UConn lock, wouldn't surprise me if Tina Thompson lands her at UVA, Tina has already started going to a lot of her games.

Hmm the fact that she is named after Jennifer Azzi and she (and her mom both admired her) I would think if she qualified for Stanford she would take a serious look st them. I know her dad he played and coached near where I live they are really good people. I don’t ever ask about her recruiting because it’s probably hectic enough but I do know she is a big time player. Also TN has been in on her very early I can tell you that as well and they say going to a top contender doesn’t matter it’s the right fit for HER.

A lot of the UCONN folks think she is a Notre Dame lean now given her close relationship with Sam Brunelle and playing together with the Fairfax Stars. She was wearing a Notre Dame shirt when Brunelle verballed, but that could have just been a show of support for her friend and teammate. Who knows.

I’d rather see ND win another tourney before I have to watch Geno cutting down nets again.

No one has her as UCONN lock , its ND who seems to be the lock . Words are "Packaged Deal" Brunelle , Beuckers & Fudd.
