I assuming since it is Ncaa they have one rule for everywhere bureaucracy at its finest. They may change with the new CDC but this is the Ncaa. I wonder if they are enforcing seat restrictions too. At worst i hope it is selectively enforced. Wearing one when going through the stadium is one thing in your seat in an open air stadium is another. I have been fully vaccinated for over two months at this point.Do you think there is any chance they will lighten that requirement with the new CDC guidelines?

Thanks, Brian. It really is an overreach at this point! No. The NCAA made their rules for postseason baseball/softball two months ago and said they would not change them based on new guidances. Basically, they wanted a plan in place well in advance and intend on sticking with it. It's very disappointing. Going to be even worse in three weeks when NCAA Baseball regionals will have a mask policy AND 50% capacity after weeks of full stadiums. The NCAA's refusal to be flexible strikes them again, unfortunately.
So it is 50%. Bureaucracy which implies a whole lot of stupid.No. The NCAA made their rules for postseason baseball/softball two months ago and said they would not change them based on new guidances. I like Washington, but I'm not a fan of how they reacted. Play with a chip on your shoulder, use it as motivation, talk about being disrespected and settle it on the field. That moment will back fire I believe once they get bounced.Washington react was classic they were PO’d. Did you see their coach.
I don’t follow them at all just knowing they have the one real good pitcher but reading some they are not well liked for some reason maybe because some things like their reaction. Good luck next year with Ncaa though. They can be vindictive as we know.I like Washington, but I'm not a fan of how they reacted. This a loaded question with no short answer. As a snapshot we have had a good season and may have a great one as it plays out. Softball like other sports just doesn’t play out over one season. The program has stalled out since around 2016 being really good but not being elite. The big hit was our recruiting took a hit in some areas. Case in point Ashley is great but we have little behind her. Hiring Megan as pitching coach seems to have helped. We still need some new blood in the coaching staff not necessarily a total redo. It seems to be heading in that direction too.I have been getting into softball more and more. I saw TN is a top 10 NCAA team. I haven’t posted because i am not as knowledgeable but i also have been reading about the coaches starting to be over their heads? Is this not a good thing for the team and did they
underachieve ?
not qualified at all to speak to coaching ---- LVs need to recruit more legitimate long-ball threats; speed will always be a plus, but forget about the slappers, their day is done; pay more attention to recruiting a variety of pitchers, not simply focusing on one "superstar" (who may or may not pan out) ---- easy for me to sayThis a loaded question with no short answer. I’m on the fence on that one because the one thing you have to avoid is falling into the loser’s bracket on the first day. Turner and Bender were hurt but we had to use Ashley in both games when we beat them earlier.I'm thinking it might be wise for the LVs to go with Turner-Bender against East Kentucky, and be prepared to ride Rogers thereafter
I think you have to start Rogers because their E Ky pitching is excellent and don't know how our batters are going to hit. So I would start her hope that we could score a lot of runs quickly get a big lead and take her out mid-game. We only beat them one of the games we played them 3 to 2.I’m on the fence on that one because the one thing you have to avoid is falling into the loser’s bracket on the first day.
