Lady Vols Softball

Quit gaslighting. That doesn't have a damn thing to do with anything and you know it.

Yes it does. Anytime someone posts something positive, you take it personally and reach out to discredit or shame them. You are a bully and go out of your way to seek confrontation. The Weekly's must have wronged you terribly for you to keep this absurd behavior going. Is it possible for you to say something without working a four letter word in?

I would definitely start Rogers. Starting one of the others sends the wrong message to the team. Gives the impression of a cakewalk and could cause a lack of focus. Try to get a lead and then pull her as soon as feasible. You can always put her back if EKU rallies. You just can't drop into the losers bracket and have to win 4 games in 2 days with this staff. Have to get that first game win.
I agree but if your focus is on who is the starting pitcher, you have no focus. Its time to play if you want to get where you want no matter who is pitching. Not to argue at all though just my thought.

I think Rogers will start against EKU. Hopefully we put several runs on the board and can get Turner/Bender some relief innings.
It's go time, you ride her until you can't. Run support is her best friend to let someone else eat up innings but she has to know going in that she's got the ball every inning.

I like Washington, but I'm not a fan of how they reacted. Play with a chip on your shoulder, use it as motivation, talk about being disrespected and settle it on the field. That moment will back fire I believe once they get bounced.
Yes...be an adult, not like a child and a and take your ball and go home!!!

If a small school won’t take/give then why do we?

I missed this response during the bracket announcement, but talking about pitchers in the transfer portal that will be fifth year players that can’t return to their current school. There are a lot of schools around the country that are not allowing their fifth year players to return, no matter how good they are, because of the actual costs related to their scholarships. Moreover, there are a lot of fifth year players who graduated from their current school and that school will allow them to pursue a second undergraduate degree, but not a masters. Basically asking them to spin their wheels for a year just play sports.

There are going to be a lot of these kids in the portal that are much better players then you would think would be available. It’s going to be very interesting to see what rosters among good teams look like next year when they pick up some of these names I expect to be available. Two of the better mid major pitchers that I am aware of are likely going to be in the portal, from what I was told last week. We will see, but if that is the case, they are players that anybody in the country would want.

And you do the same to anyone that criticizes anything to do with the university, particularly coaches. If it were up to you I'm sure Derek Dooley, Cuonzo Martin and Holly Warlick would all be on the UT payroll right now.

If you will read through this thread, you'll see I've made and liked lots of 'positive' posts, unlike you who whines anytime someone makes a comment that isn't pumping sunshine up someone's butt, especially coaches. You're fine being average, and some of us want to be elite. That's really what it all comes down to.

You are a bully and go out of your way to seek confrontation.

Nah, I mostly just do it to you, and you're probably just mad because you can't stand being challenged. I have great conversations with most people on this board, including many I disagree with, which isn't really possible with someone like you that doesn't live in reality, along with the rest of the Vol fanhood virtue signaling brigade. As I stated, you were Holly's biggest water carrier on the board, and I find it hilarious that you're talking about confrontation when you attacked people ad nauseam, made snarky remarks, and questioned people's fanhood when they rightly criticized Holly in her time as HC. And when she ran the program into the ground and got fired, not once did you ever apologize and admit you were wrong. I don't need President Pollyanna lecturing me on anything so save your whining for someone who cares.

If you have a problem with what I post, feel free to use the ignore button, like I've done for you. If you ever see me responding to your posts, it's because I've chosen to see something you've posted. In case you haven't noticed, I don't particularly care if anyone likes me or not, and I especially don't care if you like me or not.

Is it possible for you to say something without working a four letter word in?

Sorry that 'damn' triggered you. Also, if you actually know how to read, you'll see most of my posts don't have 'four letter words'.

You have great conversations? Surely you don't expect anyone to believe that crock. Apologize to a Nega Vol like you? NEVER. I did nothing to apologize for you clown. It's like you think I hire and fire for UT athletics. Just another indicator you are out of touch with reality. You should be ashamed to have the word vol in your name because you're no fan. Just another pitiful hater who likes to bully fans.

If one is out there, but if you take one be sure to have another 2022 lined up because you'll lose the portal player after next year and then 1-2 on the current roster shortly after the player is announced. Probably losing 1-2 regardless.

Wow! Some schools make players start another undergraduate degree program rather than a graduate program? Seems like that would be counterproductive.

Looks like if we win our regional and Missouri wins theirs were playing at Missouri. We lost our chance at a top eight with the Miss St losses and losing the Missouri series. We made some ground back up win the two wins in the SEC tourney. Not enough to play at home. Still got to win the regional Liberty is a very quality team.

UT has a 50/50 chance to win Regional and a 15/85 chance to win Super Regional. If they make it to WCWS will be run ruled in 1st game. Bad draw

Hahahaha no they will not be run ruled in OKC be either OU or Washington.....Don't be surprised if Washington takes out OU....Plain has done really well against OU

Right, you're doing it as a one-year stopgap if you're taking a 5th year or grad transfer. And that's ok, it doesn't upset the future recruiting that you have lined up. Between getting Thompson back at second base and the corner players coming in next year, I think a stopgap #2 pitcher is what you're looking for in the portal to fill a role until Pickens arrives in two years.

I'm curious why you say it's 50/50. JMU's record is VERY good, but look at the schedule. They played one Power 5 team all season, Virginia in their season opener, and only one game against a team that made the NCAA Tournament, George Washington that same day. UT defeated EKU twice, including when they held their ace for game two to avoid matching up with Ashley. he Liberty game wasn't particularly close, either. Certainly, anything can happen and we've seen that in regionals before, but I'd be interested in your reasoning at saying 50/50.

A possible SR matchup with Mizzou would look more like 50/50 to me. I can't see the reasoning on only a 15% chance. Even having faced her as they did, I'd still like UT's chances in a series opener on the road, and UT would the be the home team in a game two that might well come down to the last at-bat, based on how the second two games went in Knoxville. JMO.

As for how we matchup with Oklahoma...well...I'd like to see Washington win that SR.

Plain is legit but 1 win vs Oklahoma in 2018 isn’t exactly doing really well. Her ERA isn’t what it was her freshman year and the hitters she will possibly face in the SR, providing they both make it, aren’t going to be intimidated by her.

I wouldn't say 50/50. I would say that our regional is one of the toughest, and we definitely have arguably the best 3-seed in the tournament.

Mizzou would definitely be favored in the SR, but it's a similar scenario to 2017 when A&M lost to us 2-1 at home in the last series of the season and then beat us in Knoxville 2-1 -- after getting blown out in the first game of the SR. But 15/85? Definitely not.

OU's tough to beat because not only are they amazing at the plate but they also have an AA pitcher -- who's a lefty and extremely versatile. A run rule could happen because they've run-ruled lots of good teams.
