We have a ton more talent than most teams, but they never had a rhythm all year long. Not doubting Coach Summit's abilities, but if they'd gotten their heads out of their rear ends, the outcome would have ( & should have ) BEEN DIFFERENT!

At least not EVERYBODY isn't talking about booting Pat ( unlike Pearl ). Next year, with a few well deserved feet in some rear ends, We should be able to be back in contention.

I doubt they were even doing that.

I've seen Pat's women do less than excellent jobs of what they were supposed to, but never a whole team of women that didn't seem to understand either what she wanted them to do or what they preferred instead.

The only reason they made the tourney was that they were UT-quality recruits and there was only so bad they could do. Mental failure is a big pet peeve of mine, and these youngsters acted worse than mere age & experience excuses.

I can't even imagine anyone seriously considering firing Pat Summit. That would be athletic suicide for our women's basketball department.

The sad thing is, I don't think they will be hating it. this team doesn't seem to care too much.

That is certainly the impression they give. ESPN did get a close up of Kelly Cain crying near the end.

Another thing that makes me sick is how they made it look as if the Ball St. coach had really pulled one off. Heck, I could have fielded a team of coworkers and beat the Lady Vols tonight. Ball St. just got lucky in drawing them this year.
