Ole Miss also has those other 2 idiots (brothers I think they are last name is spelled Nk blah blah blah) that smoked synthetic pot - one was supposed to be a 1st rounder but it didnt happen - this Tunsil was a moron for admitting it was him in the photo - looks like Miami drafted another winner

I've watched the video. He takes the mask off at the end. Oh it's him alright sitting under an Ole Miss flag hanging on a wall. BTW head clean shaved and wearing what looks to be same ear rings he had on at the draft. It wasn't a long time ago.

My kid found the video in about 5 seconds on line

Nkemdiche actually did go in the first round at #29 to Arizona. Although he was projected to be a top 5 pick before all of his shenanigans came to light

We need an agency that can enforce rules. This game becomes so diluted if things like this (players openly admitting payment) occur with no penalty.

I don't understand why the NCAA has no authority.

No one knew that offense when he committed and I don't believe there was a single tie.

Hugh Freeze had already been at OM for a year, and that's what I heard. Not sure either of us know one way or the other. But it's not like Freeze just got the job. He went to s bowl game his first year.

They only have the authority the schools want them to have. And post-Penn State, the schools stopped playing ball with Indianapolis.

How can they not do anything? It's all over the place, now. If they don't, it'd be the start of their downfall.

Did they do anything to the Bamers over the suits? Over a coach giving money to a player? No!

Assistants may get the ax is about all.

Why would the NFL care or why would the Dolphins care if he took money. Even if he admitted outright and showed deposit slips, taking money isn't illegal and won't affect him in the least bit

Dolphins will care because their training camp will be a media circus. They went through the whole bullying thing a few years ago with Martin and Incognito, finally got out from under that this past year, and now they are right back in the center ring.

Could be some serious heat coming Ole Miss' way. You know the money train didn't stop at Tunsil. If they are blatantly paying offensive tackle recruits like this, than you know players like Nkemdiche, Treadwell, Kelly, Patterson, etc.... were getting more than just a little compensation for coming to the grove.

Wasn't Tunsil suspended for the 1st 7 games for taking improper benefits? Was that what he was referring to or something different?

Those benefits were totally different. Free use of cars, help with buying a car, etc. I think the thing he probably regrets most is pissing off his stepdad. Gotta think he was behind the hacking. He sued Tunsil a few days ago.

So a video gets posted to his Twitter and screenshots of incriminating texts get posted to his Instagram, followed by an admission of guilt in a post-draft selection press conference cut short by NFL reps trying to stop the bleeding.

Hell of a night, dude.

The kid was just coming clean. He just accomplished his dream of becoming a pro football player. And he's a millionaire.

No need to keep up the charade.

Cam Newton, North Carolina, Miami, Johnny Football, Oregon. Nothing. Not a single thing.

We're already way past the downfall.

This is like the Ray Rice thing. You get a slap on the wrist if you hit your wife behind closed doors. But do it on camera and the whole world wants your head.

Tunsil admitted to getting paid by the assistant AD of Ole Miss on the biggest night of his career while on national tv in front of millions. Ole Miss will get hammered.

This is blowing up in the media right now and I don't think Ole Miss can easily duck and dodge their way out. They have already been under investigation for a variety of violations spanning the different sports. And something like this only adds to the overall sum. In a word, systemic might apply.

I'd be surprised if they don't get some serious sanctions out of this in the entire athletic department. There are some times the NCAA is going to be forced into action and this certainly fits the bill.

No they won't. In the wake of the Cam Newton deal, 4 Auburn players went on HBO Real Sports and claimed they got paid while in school. The hammer than dropped on Auburn was pretty rough, wasn't it?

Tunsil's Attorney on Leaked Video and Conversations:

Why would one do that? Why would a person do that except there must be some huge animosity against him. I don’t know. I’m just not aware of people that are capable of such things. I haven’t been exposed to people like that. I’m exposed to people who commit murders and robberies. But, to me, people who do things like this are worse.

So whoever hacked Tunsil's phone and leaked this stuff is worse than a robber or murderer. Attorneys are just awesome.

I totally agree with you. And the reality is that if schools were truly concerned about any kind of punishment from the NCAA as a result of a player "coming clean", they'd recognize that in the age of social media their secrets are never secret.

And it turns out that the chick at the end of the press conference is Jimmy Sexton's assistant, not an NFL PR person. So maybe the NFL doesn't care, but Jimmy Sexton does :)

Imagine if this was a white player smoking weed in front or a rebel flag.

I imagine he would be a caucasian football player smoking weed at ole miss. ...or is that not were you were going for?

A bit early to be playing a victim, no?
