Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

While the Holy Spirit is leading me to dress up in my Easter best and set on my couch for Easter services tomorrow, I’m not going to question that The Spirit might be leading other (with God’s hand of protection covering them) to attend services in person...we see in the Book of Daniel where God expects His children to obey Him.

Roman's 13:
1Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.

Matthew 4:7
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.

I still cannot believe that we don't have the testing problem figured out yet. They ought to be passing out test kids like candy at Halloween. Its the key to slowing and stopping the spread. Its also the key to making an informed decision about when to end the shut downs.

And yet every day, it's one excuse and another broken promise after another. Trump ought to have had a team in place a month ago to set up testing for anyone who wants it, right fricking now. Two week time table.

It should have been dealt with long ago, but there is still value to making it the federal government's #1 priority even now. I just do not understand this dragging of feet on this critical issue.

Everything will be fine, LG. Continue to shelter those at risk. Try to help lower the stress of your girlfriend. Watch for symptoms if she is working her nurse duties around c19 patients.

A month ago you would just now be getting your results back and would they still be good ? I believe they just came out with tests two weeks ago ( I think ) that was 5 mins . A lot of places are still waiting 3 days . I know it sounds crazy but things take time to get moving . Think steam locomotive.

I would also add .. stop meeting her at the door and trying to swap spit with her when she gets home . She can take her own bra off , she doesn’t need your help . 👀

Thanks for that thought. She is still an RN but has been in administration for 15 years. So far they have not needed her. But Gov. Desantis imposed restrictions reluctantly and far too slowly, even though localities did what they could. As a result Florida's peak is still 2-3 weeks away.

My experience with testing..... got tested at 330 on Thursday and knew I was negative by 9 AM the next morning, suppose to stay quarantined for 3 days negative or not..... suppose to be something about a potential 7 day something that didn’t apply to me bc I was tested due to my job..... my entire staff received their tests with long 12 hours or the next morning if over night.... we don’t have minute results yet but the test took 5 minutes at a drive thru center.

DOJ: 'Expect action' on government regulation of religious services amid COVID-19 outbreak

The Justice Department (DOJ) may take action next week against local governments that have cracked down on religious services as widespread parts of the country are shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, a DOJ spokesperson said Saturday.

“While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly [and] not single out religious [organizations],” DOJ Director of Communications Kerri Kupec tweeted.

During this sacred week for many Americans, AG Barr is monitoring govt regulation of religious services. While social distancing policies are appropriate during this emergency, they must be applied evenhandedly & not single out religious orgs. Expect action from DOJ next week!
The DOJ move would come as some churches are standing up to city governments that have blocked them from holding in-person services during the outbreak -- even in "drive-in" formats that keep people separated and in their own cars.

A judge in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of Mayor Greg Fischer’s ban on drive-in church services there.

Freedom of religion is the first of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” its text begins.

Then try to rerain perspective. Only a small percentage are sick. A smaller percentage are dealing with severe symptoms. And an even smaller percentage are in a fight for their life.

Coronavirus: Trump has declared major disaster in all 50 states at once, first time in history

President Trump issued a major disaster declaration for Wyoming on Saturday, meaning that there is now such a declaration within all 50 states due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is the first time a president has ever declared a major disaster in all 50 states at once, according to Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere.

The move comes as confirmed cases of the coronavirus reached at least 519,453 as of Saturday afternoon. At least 20,071 people have died in the U.S. due to the disease, a death toll surpassing the one in hard-hit Italy -- and a figure that has doubled, from 10,000 to more than 20,000, in just five days. Worldwide, confirmed cases have surpassed 1.75 million, and more than 100,000 people have died.

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon formally sought the declaration on Thursday in a letter to the president. The state had seen more than 200 cases of the coronavirus at that time.

The declarations make federal funding available for state and local governments, as well as some nonprofit organizations, according to the White House. They can also help state governments coordinate with federal resources like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Army Corps of Engineers.

I agree to a point, but we’ve tested a lot of people. It’s just impractical to test everybody.

If we figured out a way to test everybody and truly knew theNumber that were infected, I’d bet the current economic paralysis would look like child’s play.
I think that would totally depend on what we found out about regarding reinfection. If, like Fauci believes, you would have immunity for a considerable time period then the markets would view that As a extremely good thing. If we reinfection is likely or probable it would scare the crap out of the market.

Even producing one kit a second would yield around 600 thousand a week. Wouldn't be able to cover everyone in 10 years at that rate.

Random sampling seems to be the only practical approach, outside of critical testing.
