I think most Iranians wouldn't want to. Particularly the younger generations. Unfortunately their radical twisted religious leaders who seized total control of the country in the late 70s would. Too bad we can't selectively nuke them.To be honest I think the Iranians would kill you, me and our offspring if they had the chance. I'm not a live and let live person.
That’s regime change and we got no business doing that either. But yeah I agree with the sentiment.I think most Iranians wouldn't want to. Particularly the younger generations. Unfortunately their radical twisted religious leaders who seized total control of the country in the late 70s would. Too bad we can't selectively nuke them.
What difference does it make? We've already given IMF the money to do what they please. That debt horse is already out of the barn. I don't think they are talking about giving more money on top of what the IMF is giving. We all have hypocritical stances on certain issues. What difference does us providing aid thru an intermediary distinguished from direct aid? Guess in this instance you are not concerned with the debt.
Link to the federal legislation Trump signed enacting those laws? It's now illegal to ride busses without a mask and to hold church services. Doing those things will result in jail time. Freedom!
If some other country had come in and overthrown our elected president, Americans would be upset also.Probably not.
Should it matter that their people routinely shout “Death to the USA” in the streets?
Probably not. I guess we should strive to be better than that.
So we should leave them alone and they leave us alone. That includes all fiscal transactions too... like loans sourced with our money. If some other country had come in and overthrown our elected president, Americans would be upset also.
The United States has not been a friend to the people of Iran since 1953.
I don’t think we should send money to other countries when we have not solved our own problems especially when we can’t be sure how that money is even going to be utilizedOur govt just did the same with a half trillion and people say it wasn't enough.
If this is bad enough to shut down the world economy then they should be available to lend emergency funds.
You're not saying f Iran, you're saying Iranians should die because you don't like their govt. Get it right
It is our fault The Mullahs and The Shah before them were in power.LMAO it’s our fault the current assholes in power remain in power?!
That money is already spent and has been sent to the IMF.So we should leave them alone and they leave us alone. That includes all fiscal transactions too... like loans sourced with our money.
That money was Irans money to begin with. It had been held because of sanctions. Don't make it sound like we just gave them cash for no reason. They had earned that money and the US was able to intercept it through sanctions.IMF was created to be a system of exchange rates linked to the dollar to be supervised by the IMF, and the Fund was given three critical missions:
1) promoting international monetary cooperation
2) supporting the expansion of trade and economic growth
3) discouraging policies that would harm prosperity
Where exactly does money given to the Iranian regime fall under those three missions? And what the blazes has the regime spent the wads of cash on that Obama sent over? Sure doesn’t appear to be their own people....
I think a better question would be: Why is there law prohibiting drive-in church services? Why does the law not apply to the church?
That money is already spent and has been sent to the IMF.
That horse is already out of the barn.
A better thing to do would pull out of funding the IMF fro this day forward. If you want to use the IF loan to Iran as an excuse, fine.
However, having said that, why is Diane Feinstein or any US politician lobbying for the another country? There should be legitimate outrage over that also.
