Try to keep up.It is our fault The Mullahs and The Shah before them were in power.
Iran was one of the most Westernized countries in the Middle East after World War II, and The CIA and The UK destroyed that country because Mossedgh had the audacity to ask for a larger split of oil profits from British Patroleum.
That money is already spent and has been sent to the IMF.
That horse is already out of the barn.
A better thing to do would pull out of funding the IMF fro this day forward. If you want to use the IF loan to Iran as an excuse, fine.
However, having said that, why is Diane Feinstein or any US politician lobbying for the another country? There should be legitimate outrage over that also.
Because when a butterfly flaps its wings in Iran, there is a hurricane off the coast of Florida. Or something. That money is already spent and has been sent to the IMF.

The only thing I have against the US being the driving force behind regime change is that it's too unpredictable. Kind of like that box of chocolates. I would certainly be for supporting the people with arms and intelligence if they rose up against the Iranian government. That’s regime change and we got no business doing that either. But yeah I agree with the sentiment.
Until the people of Iran correct their current situation on their own we stay away and don’t send a singular US dollar.
I’ll agree to give up guidance to any monies given to the IMF if we pull out. Just write it off to more stupid bad debt. That’s en vogue now. That money is already spent and has been sent to the IMF.

We are reaping the rewards for our own BS hubris from the 60’s and 70’s. We have no business going into a country and destabilizing their government. I include Venezuela in that now.The only thing I have against the US being the driving force behind regime change is that it's too unpredictable. Kind of like that box of chocolates. We don't need to 'nuke' them, but a well placed .50 round would be acceptable. I would rather do that in Venezuela.I think most Iranians wouldn't want to. Particularly the younger generations. Unfortunately their radical twisted religious leaders who seized total control of the country in the late 70s would. Too bad we can't selectively nuke them.
I have no idea but I’d bet it goes back into a general fund for making more loans. And then member countries refill those coffers as budgeting predicts its needed

That money was Irans money to begin with. It had been held because of sanctions. Don't make it sound like we just gave them cash for no reason. They had earned that money and the US was able to intercept it through sanctions.
