Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I did not intend to enrage you.
In my original post, I indicated I would be viewing Easter Services from my couch. I simply stated that there could be others the The Holy Spirit did indeed lead to attend in person.
And for disobeying the government, who do I obey? In Knox County Tennessee, the Tennessee Governor indicated that Churches are considered essential, and while the Knoxville City Mayor shut everything down, The Knox County Mayor did not out of respect for our civil rights. Until I cross the border, the Governor of Kentucky has no authority over me, and to the best of my knowledge he's the closest government official to forbid Church attendance.

I agree to a point...... stopping drive thru church services is a huge government over reach though.
Not really. This article is an example of what "Could" happen. Church should not be a sacrificial cult. Use common sense.....Wherever two or more are gathered, Jesus will be in the midst....

The day the beast visited North Georgia’s Church at Liberty Square

You don't have to sacrifice your well being and the well being of others to show that you are a Christian.

You aren't sacrificing a thing sitting in your car, Windows up listening to the preacher on the radio. It was over reaching.

That is not accurate...... we have 45-60 available beds on hold. With just 5 patients and you all don’t think that affects front line workers hours.

There is a dichotomy at work here. The hospitals, particularly in some hot spot areas, are indeed very busy with the virus but the industry on the whole is losing substantial revenue from things like elective surgeries, testing of a non emergent nature, etc.

you can't listen to the preacher at home? What is the point of going in person? There are always people that want to be the Martyr. I watched service in my living room with my family. Does that make us any less Christian? Some people want to be "persecuted".

Let's be clear about what President Trump actually did. President Trump did not place an absolute block on people coming to the United States from China. 40,000 Americans and other authorized travelers have still come into the country from China since the first week in February. All Trump did, was block foreign nationals who had been in China in the past 14 days from coming into the United States starting on February 2nd. Also, it's unlikely that the limited "travel ban" from China, has done much to mitigate the crisis where it has had the largest impact - New York City. CDC studies have shown that the NYC coronavirus outbreak originated in Europe and was circulating in NYC in mid-February, weeks before the first confirmed case.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is now saying that the policies which closed schools, canceled sporting events and concerts, as well as the stay-at-home orders could have saved lives if they had been implemented sooner. Here is a quote from Dr. Fauci on CNN:

"I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives," Dr. Fauci said, on "State of the Union" on CNN.

Dr. Fauci continued with "Obviously, no one is going to deny that. But what goes into those kinds of decisions is complicated. But you're right. Obviously, if we had, right from the very beginning, shut everything down, it may have been a little different. But there was a lot of pushback about shutting things down."

That is why President Trump is now (predictably) lashing out at Dr. Fauci on Twitter, and openly saying that he wants Dr. Fauci fired as the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, a position that Dr. Fauci has held since 1984.

Fauci also said this on Jan 21.
This is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States should be worried about right now,

This statement didn't have stipulations attached like, "Social Distancing", Safer at Home", "Quarantine", "Federal shutdown" to it not being a threat or a worry. Matter of fact, you add any one of those things in and you have a threat that should be a worry for citizens.

Im sure Fauci would be the first to tell you given 35 years in that position, that hindsight makes everyone a genius, even him. He has given to this idea about models making major shifts week to week after getting stiff questions about them being altered substantially.

Information is king. Sometimes you have good info to make good decisions with, other times have have bad or too little info. Id guess we probably had more of the later than good.

I went to Church yesterday, in my living room....I went to the liquor store on Saturday. There were 8 people in the liquor store versus more than 500 in the Church house during normal worship time. Stop being a victim.

It's not an overreach if someone is handing out communion car by car to everyone.
Drives thrus work this way. And we are being encouraged to support our restaurants. And I seriously doubt there is a whole lot of contact actually happening here. If any at all, just thru the logistics. Unless it's a guy/girl standing out there on the side of the church parking lot.

Were you? There were red flags way before that finale.....those devoted to Jim Jones chose to ignore those red flags out of loyalty. It didn't happen all of a sudden.
The red flag is always separating people from Support systems. Always been fascinated by sociopaths and their thought process.
I watched it unfold, read the book and found everything I could read on it. Watched the news report on the congressman being killed on nbc out of Chicago as what was breaking news. I was 12 when it happened, it left an impression on me. Read the book again last year.
Comparing trump followers to Jim Jones followers is a bad stretch at the very minimum.
