Elon Musk Hits CNN Over Fake News on Ventilators, Does Real Reporting For Them

Elon Musk hit CNN early Thursday morning for reporting that ventilators the CEO of Tesla promised to distribute throughout California had not been delivered to hospitals.

“Elon Musk and his team told the state that he had procured ventilators and wanted to distribute them directly to hospitals with shortages,” an unnamed spokesperson from California Gov. Gavin Newsom's Office of Emergency Services said, CNN reported. “The Administration is communicating every day with hospitals across the state about their ventilator supply and to date we have not heard of any hospital system that has received a ventilator directly from Tesla or Musk.”

Replying to the story, Musk said, “What I find most surprising is that CNN still exists.” He then asked Gov. Gavin Newsom to fix the misunderstanding.

Since the “most trusted name in news” didn’t bother to do any fact-finding, Musk provided hospital tweets and email screenshots as proof that he followed through on his word.

That’s a false dichotomy and it’s nowhere near that noble. Socialism creeps in once people realize they can vote themselves access to other people’s money.

True, but it isn’t just Main Street that is guilty. We have also created a system where corporate socialism creeps in when corporations realize they can lobby themselves other people money. There are two bailouts less than 12 years apart that attest to that. All it takes is being big enough then you don’t have to play by the same risk rules as everybody else.

The big boys love capitalism and making their money until something unfair happens or they make a big enough mistake, then it’s let’s do what best for everybody to keep us afloat.

To be clear, I have no issue with capitalism and I want people to make their money and keep it, but they should be allowed to fail when they can’t.

Rep. Casten wants to preserve Chinese wet markets suspected as source of pandemic

An Illinois Democrat who has blamed President Trump for coronavirus deaths defended Chinese wet markets at a Monday tele-townhall, ignoring the scientific consensus that they are breeding grounds for deadly diseases.

"I think we need to be careful about laying all the blame on a particular cultural practice in a country that we don't live in," Rep. Sean Casten (D., Ill.) told his constituents. "These viruses could hop from animals to humans, but you don't shut that down just by shutting down a particular cultural practice that we aren't familiar with."

Why are covid protesters in Michigan and other places waving Trump flags as if he's opposed to social distancing?
Because he downplayed it at first and they remember that, plus he's said things like he wanted to open up again for Easter, a much faster timetable that what basically everyone else was saying.

Trump routinely has shown deference to the economic side of the equation rather than the public health side (and I'm not saying he's wrong for doing so), so that's probably where it comes from.

Anything to appear as if one is leading the charge to be politically correct. Maybe I can mail order some raw s*** from one of those markets and have it sent to his door. This is why no one takes many of these elected clowns seriously anymore.

Why are covid protesters in Michigan and other places waving Trump flags as if he's opposed to social distancing?
Because in times of a fight, people need a personality to adhere to.

No matter how wrong the personality is for the fight.

Folks are not thinking right now. There is very little logic and reason on display. It's emotion. Fear, hurt, anger, hope, pride...

Nope.
This may be the dumbest of the dumb memes.

Unless you contend that WHO and CDC are not pre-eminent entities dealing with viral outbreaks and Trump - and other 1st world nations - should NOT listen to them, then you simply cannot escape the fact THEY advised Trump and other nations regarding the outbreak. THEY placed too much faith in the China data, and THEY advised us all the way into March that this was no worse than the flu, go about our business.

Are you saying Trump should not listen to these experts? That Obama or any other president would have done differently? Then keep your booger-eating, anti-American agit-prop to yourself. You're no better than the fooking Chicoms and Russians sowing disinformation just to roil the country. You hate the guy more than you care for this country or your own liberties.

So basically she did the same thing that donald did, played the virus off as not a big deal. You've convinced me, I WILL NOT vote for her to be President of the United States.

You do know that going to ChinaTOWN is not the same as travel restrictions to China.
Going to Chinatown right after their Chinese new year and a new virus spreading is very dangerous. You're underestimating how many Chinese Americans go there for that. If China would've sounded the alarm when they should've I highly doubt we would've had citizens traveling there.

You know why she deleted as much as she does. Try to cover up her hypocrisy.

All true. We've replaced the concept of the "social safety net" with a "social safety trampoline". Your business can jump to the heights you desire and there will be a trampoline when you fall back down. You'll never hit the ground and if you time it right, the social safety trampoline will propel you to greater heights.

Dude, I've heard this since the day she said it. You will post it again as some kind of gotcha moment when in fact she didn't do anything different than Trump and definitely not any worse than the President.

So what point are you trying to make or are you just saying look at Nancy not Trump?
She said it days after the President's China ban. You remember, when she was calling him a xenophobe. Now she's trying to cover it up.

Keep on sheeping.

You are either missing my point or you are trying to deflect.
how so? I will ridicule someone if their actions are selfish and endanger the lives of innocent people. If President Obama did drugs in private....is that bad? It is no different than Newt Gingrich going after Clinton for an affair when he himself was having an affair at the time. That was peak hypocritical.

Your lack of cultural knowledge on display here, while not totally surprising, is mildly racist..just fyi.

I understand the stay at home order. I don't understand blocking the sale of any items like paint, gardening seeds or plants.

The only possible logic is that those activities take you outside your home and that if your home and garden are two feet from your neighbors, you might bump into each other and off-gas some C19 while painting your house or gardening.

Technocratic bilge.

The last thing I seen was they made BPAP machines that are for sleep apnea, not ventilators.

It goes back to that quote of "accuse the other side of what you are guilty of".

It wasnt a failing of capitalism that did any of this. It was the socialism that corrupted the capitalism to such a manner it could be sustained. But they wont see that akd will continue to make the same mistake.

Corporatism; Fascism Lite.

We argue over the people in politics instead of debating the politics (laws, concepts, social network, etc). This is by design. It keeps us distracted. The real substantive matter isn't on our radar.

If our country collapses economically, your side will blame theirs and their side will blame yours. We should blame ourselves and them (politicians, bureaucrats, and the divisive).
