Why Michael Savage Is Blasting Hannity and the Right-Wing Media on the Virus
His views are a striking departure from the accepted version of events among Mr. Trump’s loyalists in the media, who have made a concerted effort to deny that they downplayed the epidemic. Mr. Savage has attacked the credibility of the conservative media, accused its biggest stars of being too rote and unthinking in their defense of the president, and demanded that they be held accountable for misleading millions of Americans.

“We’re living in a terrible time in America where truth has died,” Mr. Savage, who was one of the first conservative media stars to urge Mr. Trump to run for president, told his audience. “This is crazy,” he added, pointing to the way the president’s defenders always accuse the left of spreading “fake news.”

“How can we not let our side be called on the carpet when they lie to the people?”

That was Feb. 24.

Strip Clubs Sue To Get Stimulus Money During The Coronavirus Pandemic

Strip clubs are suing the government for relief during the coronavirus pandemic.

The owners of Little Darlings in Michigan and Silk Exotic Gentlemen’s Clubs in Wisconsin have sued the government in order to get access to relief funds under the $2 trillion aid bill, according to CNN. They’re arguing that not being allowed stimulus funds is trampling their freedom of speech. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

The strip clubs have been closed since March amid the ongoing pandemic, and there’s no known date when they’ll be open again.

America, are we really going to let our strip clubs go under? Are we really going to let the last bastions of freedom disappear in this country because of coronavirus?

MI Gov Whitmer: Swastika, Confederate Flags at Michigan ‘Political Protest’

During an interview on SiriusXM’s “The Dean Obeidallah Show” on Thursday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) said the protest at the state capitol in Lansing, MI, on Wednesday was “a political protest.

Obeidallah asked, “Why are people protesting your measures that are literally intended to keep Michiganders safe?”

Whitmer said, “Sadly, it was really a political protest–it was not necessarily about the policy. People said they would drive by and not get out of their cars and would practice the CDC safe— you know the guidelines. They congregated at the Capitol without masks standing close together. I saw an adult passing candy out to kids — bare hands to bare hands. These are people who came from all different parts of our state, congregated, and did all of the things we know put people in danger. And then they are going to go back to those rural parts of Michigan and possibly take COVID-19 with them. Or pick it up at a gas station as they filled up on way in or out of town. This is how COVID-19 spreads.”

She continued, “It was a definitely a political rally. I’ve not often seen a Confederate flag at the state capitol—and there were a few of them. There was someone who had signs that had a swastika on it. It was really a very political demonstration and rally. And It flies in the face of what we know we need to be doing to keep ourselves safe. They even lined up cars in front of a hospital and precluded an ambulance from being able to get in and out of the bay. You think about that clear image of them endangering other people.”

After more than a handful of videos, I saw:
Multitudes of American flags.
A number of Gadsden flags.
One guy with a swastika sign that said "Heil Whitmer"; yeah, clearly a neo-Nazi.
A good number of Trump 2020 signs
Gun-owners with rifles over shoulders

And she wants to paint Michiganders protesting her authoritarian impulses as unReconstructed card-carrying KKK members - all those damn Southern residents, I guess - and white supremacist Trump supporters. What a savage bich this woman is.

If MI has a spine left, she should be out of office.

Trump’s Libertarian Housing Regulator refuses to bail out mortgage firms with public money

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Mark Calabria has long been on a crusade to shrink the footprint of Fannie and Freddie.

With millions of suddenly unemployed homeowners expected to seek relief on their mortgage payments, a libertarian regulator is standing in the way of the federal government using its most powerful weapon to stave off a housing crisis.

90

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the state-controlled mortgage finance companies with a $200 billion line of credit to the Treasury, were created to ease disruptions in the market. Now, as bankers and affordable housing advocates alike clamor for the administration to tap the giant entities for a mortgage industry bailout, the Trump appointee who oversees them is rebuffing those requests.

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Mark Calabria, formerly a top aide to Vice President Mike Pence, has long been on a crusade to shrink the footprint of Fannie and Freddie, which back more than half the country's $11 trillion mortgage market. A free-market economist, Calabria has even said he would not have rescued the companies in 2008, when the government seized them to stave off catastrophic losses during the nation's housing meltdown.

The two mortgage companies are being pressed to ensure there’s adequate cash flow at businesses that collect mortgage payments as borrowers stop payments on their loans during the economic shutdown. Under the $2 trillion stimulus package passed by Congress last month, homeowners can request up to a year’s pause in mortgage payments. But the collection companies, known as servicers, are legally required to pay out funds to investors in mortgage-backed securities each month even when a borrower doesn’t pay — and the stimulus bill made no provision for backstopping them.

One industry projection estimates that servicers will be on the hook for $100 billion in payments — a scenario that would wipe out many of the companies and destabilize the housing finance system.

Fannie and Freddie could offer mortgage servicers help by reimbursing them more quickly for payments or by setting up an emergency program, as Ginnie Mae — the government-run company that works with Federal Housing Administration loans — has done.

“We are in this awful crisis, it’s only going to get worse, and we have these tools,” said Anne McCulloch, CEO of the Housing Partnership Equity Trust and a former Fannie Mae executive. “Fannie and Freddie were created exactly for this point, when there is a major crisis and you need to drive money into the American housing market — it’s really their only purpose.”

Yet Calabria maintains that forecasts of 25 to 30 percent of borrowers seeking delays in mortgage payments are over the top and flatly rejected the idea of setting up a program for mortgage companies earlier this month, saying Fannie and Freddie don’t have the capital.

Maintaining Fannie and Freddie’s capital is key to the plan Calabria has spent his year as director of FHFA carefully plotting: releasing the companies from government control — an idea that until two months ago looked like a done deal.

Ignorant people everywhere you go and it would seem Michigan is no exception

I think people from rural areas with limited resources and low numbers of cases, driving into a city and potentially exposing themselves and their community to the virus over some performative culture war nonsense is pretty dimwitted.

I do have some sympathy for people in rural areas that are being hurt by these state wide bans that appear to only be helping people in cities.

It seems like even a federalist system isn’t decentralized enough for this situation. Some of these rural areas ought to have local officials holding virtual town halls to explain “we have this many cases and this many beds and we can’t just send everybody to the city for treatment.” (Because that’s what rural hospitals usually do with complex cases). Let people make up their own minds with full information...

...and then mock the **** out of them when they make the wrong decision.

Yes we know those people represent all conservatives just as antifa represents all the left. You really need to put that brush down
You're looking really asinine right now. So these Trump supporters don't represent Trump supporters? It fits them like a glove.

That was tweeted out five days after he retweeted this.

The cat was already out of the bag on China and the WHO, and he was still "licking up what China was laying down" as referenced in the post about irony that I replied to.

Also, from Whitehouse .gov minutes from the March 19 presser...

"Q Mr. President, if I could, on China: They reported, for the first time since the outbreak, no new cases over a 24-hour period. Do you have any reason to disbelieve them? And second to that: The National Security Council yesterday put out a tweet very critical of the Chinese government, saying the Chinese Communist Party suppressed initial reports on the Chinese virus and punished doctors and journalists causing Chinese and international experts to miss critical opportunities to prevent a global pandemic.
Could you expand on that?
THE PRESIDENT: Well, it would have been much better if we had known about this a number of months earlier. It could have been contained to that one area in China where it started. And certainly, the world is paying a big price for what they did and the world is paying a very big price for not — for not letting them come out. Everybody knows that. We all know that."

Remarks by President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Members of the Coronavirus Task Force in Press Briefing | The White House

He had already stopped calling it The Chinese virus by the time he sent the tweet licking Xi's nuts.

So I am confused...

You guys rip him when he calls it the chinese flu but now u are ripping him cause he doesn't.

Seems you are gonna rip him no matter what.
