It is sad that we will never know how many folks actually died FROM this virus. They are only counting those who died WITH the antibodies for this virus, regardless of what underlying medical problems existed...or what the actual CAUSE of death was.

Despite this obvious deception, I believe strongly that the over reaction and panic created by the MSM will be remembered as just that...panic...even though we know that the talking heads of the MSM will never speak of it. There are plenty of other voices on the internet that will be honest and condemn what has been done to both our economy and our rights as individuals.

Shame on the Dems or anyone else who tries to use this situation as a political smear campaign. Even more shame on the Dems who seek to wreck our economy in order to keep Trump from being elected again. They know that Biden is a wet noodle with no real skills to bring to the table. He looks and sounds like dementia has a stranglehold on him at every turn. He endorsed the Green New Deal for Pete's sake, knowing it is a coloring book for wayward kids...just to try and get the Bernie Bros on his side. What a clown.

WTF? Florida has had over 30,000 cases and over 1,000 deaths. The actual number of cases is of course much higher, but due to Trump administration incompetence we don't have the materials to test like we should to get a sense of how many more.

A fair debate can be had as to how to count cases and how to decidd which deaths were "caused by" the virus. Most people die with co-morbidities, so that type of debate has been around forever.

But anyone who believes that this is a conspiracy to crush the economy simply to get rid of Trump is a complete fool.

I in no way think this is a conspiracy, but I absolutely believe the left has chosen to use a tragedy as a political tool to get rid of Trump. I think you'd quickly forgive a Dem President in the same situation.

I’m sure of the dementia part but that’s only from times that he is in public . To know for a fact you have to around them on the daily and or just wait because it will get to the point that you can’t cover it up . I’m betting we will all know within the next 4 years . I have a sneaking suspicion as to why Obama tried to talk him out of it and was the last big player to endorse him . ( IMO only )

It’s folks like you that personally had me terrified of the thought of Bernie Sanders being the nominee. If he had gotten it 40+% of America would’ve openly supported socialism/communism purely because:

A.) They are only going to vote Dem. Period.
B.) They have such hatred for Trump they’d vote for anyone but him.

This should have scared the living daylights out of any American. It sure scared the DNC.

Incidentally, I've been mulling this over and have concluded that technically speaking Trump is correct. If you inject bleach or Lysol into your body, it will in fact kill the virus.

Wait you mean to tell me that that a city with a pop of 8 mill. has ran over 500k tests and the state of Florida with a pop of 21 mill. has only ran 289k because of Trumps lack of getting out test kits?

Then, and to his credit, he ended up conceding the seriousness of it to the scientists and professionals. But even then, often in the same press conference, he insisted and still does insist on making unjustified and overly rosy comments about the status of things.

One need only look at the comments of Marcus or others on here to see the effect. This irrational persistence in underestimating the virus is directly encouraged and promoted by Trump himself. A good President would disavow that thinking and explain, even to his base, why its mistaken.

Second, IF Trump would confess that he was wrong and defer to the professionals completely, I'd be more forgiving. But he won't. At least not consistently, as described above.

I think cdc allows you to count anyone presumed to have died with Covid without a positive test. That’s why New York added like 4K one day in the middle of April.
