It started to change right after WWII and really kicked in during the late 70s under Carter.

There was nothing wrong with our economy, if there were any idea what was about to happen business and people could have prepared. There wasn't and most business were in growth mode which equals spending and not saving.

The oil crisis began in 1973 while Nixon was in office and that is what really triggered inflation. Gas doubled in prices overnight when OPEC started an embargo.

My point was if you’re not investigating the source, then the source is no better than a garden variety assumption. No contact tracing= unknown source. So that thing is based off... what? The patient’s assumptions where they got it from? Invalid.
