Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

A pandemic out of the movie Contagion would be Armageddon. When you’re talking about a mortality rate north of 30% that’s some scary ****

In fairness, I don’t think anybody with a even a hint of intelligence looks to celebrities for their political prowess.
I agree. Unfortunately I don't know why else she would have almost 4 million followers. All she tweets is regurgitated political propoganda.

It looks like we are hitting a bit of a plateau where the number of new cases is not dropping now.

This can be expected to happen a few times as we work our way through this, but should not be a big problem as long as we don't have a large number of active cases, and the infection rate does not increase.

7 Day New Case Average

4/11 32,304 - this was the peak seven day average

5/18 22,862 - this was the low off that peak but we have moved above that low now for 5 consecutive days.

A few states are showing an significant increase in active cases, so this is probably the first moment I've noticed since the peak which looks it could be a move in the wrong direction.

Again, hopefully a temporary plateau.

True.... now we try to artificially keep people alive forever.

All the elderly people in my life have living wills with DNR instructions, but I'd prefer to keep them around as long as possible as they are happy and healthy and have stories to tell that will be gone from the world forever once they pass.

I agree with that....the elderly are special.... we go too far way too many times though.

Shocking results by opposed leadership

Let’s compare population densities of the cities it affected most. That would be a more accurate depiction. New York and New Jersey alone have a higher population density than all of the red states mentioned combined. The top 3 of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are almost all from the Philadelphia/New York City metropolis.

I know. We should just all go golfing and pretend it's over ... Like our president.

We flattened the curve. Are you going to let us know when golf is allowed again after the next flu season?

You guys have become so irrational. I think you might be suffering from a new mental illness.
