Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I actually think golfing is probably one of the safer things you can do. Few people, easy to distance. But should the president be doing it right now, from an atmospheric perspective? I don't think so.

I don't really have a problem with him playing golf. Any time I am pointing it out its always because of the irony of how much he and his slurpers went after Obama for playing and Trump plays plenty more. Just more of the hypocrisy that is emblematic of this president.

America is catching on to all the fearmongering, some wildly overplayed all of this. The CDC don't know much more than anyone else. The modeling for this was worst case scenario crap, the numbers continue to go down in the states that have been open, we should all be happy about that. The scientist are slowly relenting and coming around to the fact. But some still want to try to keep Americans inside. America as a whole is ready to open. If you don't want to join us stay inside. God Bless and GBO!!!!!
Mi Gov. Whitmer extended the stay at home orders for another 2/3 weeks. She is definitely on a power trip. Guess which Governors (Repub or Democrats) are gung-ho on keeping states on stay at home orders ?

At the end of the day you can choose to listen to educated professionals, or a former television personality and his minions. Choose wisely.

My workplace is about halfway between The Woodlands and Huntsville. When I need to shop at a Lowe’s or Home Depot often I’ll head to Huntsville. So a couple nights ago I went there at around 6 PM and was surprised how busy it was but also at the fact that none of the workers I saw were wearing masks and only a few of the shoppers - no more than 20% - were wearing masks. A week earlier at the Lowe’s in Conroe almost everyone was wearing one. My feeling is, the further from big cities the less worried people are. Isn’t Houston still under a judge’s order to wear a mask when in public or risk a $1000 fine?

Houston could be. I know that was in place at one point but I haven’t had to travel over to check on whether it is still in place. I’m actually over in Katy. Near the Katy/Richmond border. This was in Katy. No order for masks.

In the US? ********. That’s what this whole argument is about until you interjected and compared NY to the world for some reason.

Because the virus is all over the world and people here want to give NYC a break for their terrible numbers due to their population density.

Well what about 50 other cities (at least 50) that are more densely populated than them?

That order was for Harris county and was supposed to stay in effect through May 31st but I would not be surprised if it gets extended. I guess you’re in Fort Bend county.

you think the 28th metro has 23 million, the 29th has 8, the 30th has 8 and the 31st has 9? I was never very good at math both those numbers are in descending order

I don’t think anything , I just posted what came up when I googled it . I feel the same way about NYC as I do California. Board all the exits up and let the purge begin .
