Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Seems reasonable... in theory. So, open up the world as it was pre-virus or what?
What’s becoming more apparent everyday is that this isn’t as bad as we once thought. Hospitalization percentages and death rates are going down. Yes open it back up and leave it that way. The social carnage that is still yet to come is going to be far worse IMO. If there is a second wave, which I do believe will happen but not as bad as the first, people will die. That’s life. We can’t ruin millions of lives because of 200,000 deaths. It’s sad. But once again that’s life.

I have been thinking about the “second wave.” What information is this based on?

Public Health Experts Have Undermined Their Own Case for the COVID-19 Lockdowns

"But when it comes to the protests against police brutality, many medical experts think there should be an exemption to the COVID-19 lockdown logic.

More than a thousand public health experts signed an open letter specifically stating that "we do not condemn these gatherings as risky for COVID-19 transmission. We support them as vital to the national public health and to the threatened health specifically of Black people in the United States.""

I’m inclined to side with these people due to their signed letter. This type of statistic is hard to refute.

Yes, we flattened the curve. It should be business as usual.

If you want to wear PPE, go for it. For those that don’t it shouldn’t be mandatory.

If you want to stay inside and away from people, do it. There should be no restrictions placed on any type or size of gathering.

I’m m in LaFayette. Things aren’t quite wide open. Most fast food places are still drive through only and Toki Japanese and #1 Chinese are carry out only.
was referring to the amount of activity...2A was packed last weekend...lowes, home depot, tractor supply, packed. Traffic almost back to normal.
