Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

i went to a pub last weekend. first time in 2 months. it was glorious. Even dined out for lunch

It is so strange how we are currently living in like 50 different worlds.

I missed about 8 days of work back in March. Other than that we have lived as normally as we could considering the restrictions. That said, i realize so many others are still living mandated and or chosen, sequestered lives.

i feel bad for all of those that lost their jobs and businesses. Data says it wasn't necessary except maybe in New York

I’ve been working from home (not by choice) since March.

Wow. That is seriously amazing to me. I'd say I am at 4-6 weeks of almost complete normalcy at this point.

There is still nothing normal here. We live in a different reality here. Mandatory masks, malls closed, restaurants closed, only businesses deemed essential open. We had to drive to West Virginia just to walk around a town where people weren’t in masks with fear in their eyes. Also sat down in a restaurant for the first time in 2.5 months.

This is like a Twilight Zone episode, how we live such different lives based on borders.

I cant imagine the number of businesses that wont reopen in your area.

There seems to be a dichotomy in the country on the Covid situation. Not sure about MD, DE or WV but most of the Republican run states like Georgia, Texas (where I live) and Florida are opening up steadily and seem generally less fearful of getting back to a more normal way of life than what Democrat run states are like.

I’ll bet you never thought that would cross your lips .. we had to drive to West Virginia to feel normal . Lol

I defer to your expertise on virus, sir. Seems you know more than Dr. Fauci who's 100% certain we'll have a second wave in the Fall. But, of course, he's surely some sort of liberal leftist anti-American George Soros puppet, right.

Also, curious: Changed your lifestyle at all, or are you living la vida loca like this silly *purported* virus never even happened? Do tell...
Let's see, wrong first go around.... What's the definition of insanity again? Doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result?

There will be a lot of them, including some friends of mine. It’s very sad. These asshat politicians with their “experts” have done this, and I’m not certain at this point that it wasn’t intentional. As the data started to come in and become very clear, the goalposts were moved in 2-3 week increments.

I actually feel more at home in WV than the part of Maryland I am from. It’s been that way for a long time.

That’s just relief from being too far northeast . This is as far up as I want to live . It’s actually too Far East and north for both of us but it is what it is for right now .

I said in the very beginning we were going to look back on this and say WTH were we thinking.

Still some stragglers out there that still think we are playing with the apocalypse, but for the most part people are coming around. Some of the fear peddlers still won’t admit they were played.

What an awful waste.

Preaching to the choir. It’s people like MontyPython who think 20 people max in a restaurant with a capacity of 200 is opening too fast.
Same people who want 20 people to a restaurant want thousands rioting all large cities. See Nashville mayor as an example

The only useful thing that has come out of this COVID panic was it made it easy to identify who the gullible stooges are. I still have friends who stay indoors as much as possible, leave their mail outside three days before bringing it in the house, and sanitize all groceries before bringing them inside. Some refuse to get together because they are scared they will get Coronavirus. They are still doing all this despite the data that has pointed to a large over reaction. I really don’t know if I will be able to remain their friend. It’s not malicious or even intentional, but I just lost all respect for them.

I live in NW georgia..work in management for the largest flooring company in the world..(distribution)i have not missed one single day. Besides less traffic in april, people wearing mask and dine in closed I have not been affected. I have been hesitant to post this out of respect for those seriously affected by the over reaching lock downs. But thought timing was to illustrate the different ways people have been affected

Video: Gretchen Whitmer Violates Own Social Distancing Order During Protest, Chants ‘Hands Up Don’t Shoot’

On Thursday morning, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer told protesters to wear a mask and stay six feet apart. Later in the day, she appeared to violate her own rules.

“I encourage everyone who is protesting, if you are out demonstrating or out congregating at all, please wear a mask and please try to stay six feet away from others,” she said on Mojo In The Morning.
