As rifleman was posting - this was an easy call. The statements were very misleading.
They were only misleading if they weren't truthful. Their words were asymptomatic transmission is extremely rare. Now they're saying that it's not extremely rare. Were the comments misleading or not true? I'd love to know. Is it extremely rare or not? It sounds like someone had a talking to at the WHO.
Can you share a link? People at work are saying it's in the high 20s right now...
Van Kerkhove pointed to her use of the phrase "very rare" as a reason for confusion, noting that it’s a “misunderstanding to state that asymptomatic transmission globally is very rare. What I was referring to is a subset of studies."
You dont close with the most important piece of information. Come on man.WHO Clarifies Report Saying Asymptomatic Spread of Virus Is 'Very Rare'
So studies show that it's very rare but studies lie? This doesn't clarify much for me. But she is pretty good lookin'...
13 high school students test positive for coronavirus after unsanctioned prom
Not news I want to read.
One could argue that the early actions including “15 days to slow the spread” were primarily out of an abundance of caution and the dearth of knowledge about this novel virus. But after the initial goal of “flattening the curve” was achieved, the continuing lockdowns primarily in Democrat run states and with the economy on life support and millions losing their jobs? No, not political at all. And now those same politicians are still keeping businesses closed while supporting mass protests in the streets? What further evidence does anyone need to surmise this lock down was politically motivated?
It concerns me because though I’m not sure how many attended, 13 is a big number.I'm just going to ask the question....so what? Why is it "bad" news that there are positive tests? In and of itself, is a positive test bad? Especially with young people?

This is going to happen as we open up and its going to be OK. The other alternative is, don't ever leave your house and don't let anyone in. Living in fear is one sure way to die before your time is up.It concerns me because though I’m not sure how many attended, 13 is a big number.
Young people may not be affected as much as older people but they can spread it to those they come in contact with. Family members and fellow citizens who may not have the same level of resistance.
I believe what I see in real time, the experts were wrong. No they weren't.
The White House coronavirus response coordinator said Monday that she is "very worried about every city in the United States" and projects 100,000 to 200,000 American deaths as a best case scenario. -March 30, 2020
Trump - "no worse than the flu".
Just because Trump supporters, like yourself believed Trump over the experts (for the life of me I can't think of any sane person that would believe a word that comes out of his mouth) doesn't mean the experts were wrong; it means you were wrong.
