The fact that Covid is within the ballpark of the Flu, which we can treat with OTCs and still kills plenty of people, says how much a non issue this is going forward.

And it hasnt even gotten up to the true super flus we have been hit with in the past like Spanish Flu. (Ok huge assumption on my part that the Spanish flu was actually a flu)

Agreed. Also, the Spanish Flu was the flu...Influenza H1N1...ring a bell? Yeah...the reason that it was so deadly is because at that time it was "novel" like the Wutang Flu is now. Meaning that nobody alive had ever been exposed to it, so there was zero immunity or typical immune response to the pathogen in peoples bodies. Since so much time has passed since that epidemic...if it was rampant and quickly spread all over the world again, it would be quite deadly again now. Nobody alive now has any immune response properly to it because their immune systems will not recognize it as hostile.... I did some reading and was surprised at how the flu shots work. The most common shot used in the US contains the 3 strains that scientists think are most LIKELY to hit us in that year, based on which strains were most successful in getting people sick on the other side of the world, as we enjoyed "not flu" season. Some years, the most prevalent strain of flu here in the US is included in the 3 guesses...sometimes it is not and they miss with all 3....in those years, the millions of flu shots were completely useless...and folks who got the shots are just as likely to get the flu as folks who chose not to....

FWIW, I have never had a flu shot. I have been sick a few times, but never badly sick from the flu. Many people don't even know what the symptoms of influenza are...and go around telling everybody that they have the flu when they are vomiting and diarrhea. While those are VERY RARELY a symptom of certain types of influenza...the flu is a respiratory virus like the Wutang Flu....with about the same symptoms. People who have diarrhea and vomiting have a stomach virus...which is a whole different sickness.

This little social experiment we are living through has jaded me even more than I already was about government , political agendas , government funding , true data points vs estimated numbers and just how inadequate/ unimportant the WHO and CDC truly is . You can’t claim either of those two are vital to the world or our country when they’ve handled basically their one true job the way they have . Oh and you can throw in any fricken egghead Dr. that claims to be an expert . We should be screeching and protesting to defund the WHO , the CDC and the FDA instead of the cops . ( IMO )

Unfortunately it may not be our choice. It appears that in the event of a public safety emergency the constitution goes right into the crapper and we can be forcibly vaccinated against our will.

I saw a posted interview with Alan Dershowitz a week or so ago explaining this very scenario in regards to governmental suspension of individual constitutional rights.

Yep it is absolute nonsense..... I have seen enough..... we have patients that are able to test positive four months after initial test so that tells me they have no clue who has an actual active case of this disease.... They also are testing everyone in the hospital and if they test positive they become a covid hospitalization even if they have zero symptoms and were admitted for a different reason.

To reiterate, the concept is we have X number of beds available in intensive care and Y number of ventilators. If the number of CV19 patients exceeds either amount, we've got big problems. Having a loved one die because there simply wasn't adequate medical coverage available is a horrific option. This is why we quarantined then, and why we may have to again in the fall (or sooner) when the 2nd wave hits.

Well at first it was we need everything closed for two weeks. We did that and it wasnt enough for them. Then it was we need more testing we did that, and it wasnt enough for them. We needed to social distance, wear masks and shut down millions of jobs for months on end. And it wasnt enough for them.

And now we have come full circle, again, about them complaining about the opposite of one of their original points.

Honestly numbers aren't the important part. Its how many of the cases are asymptotic v critical. A lot of people are going to have it at this point, but how many are going to need hospitalization is the important question
