Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Have a little office quandary. My office manager Karened our mailman last Thursday for showing up without a mask after our idiot county mayor issued his mask order. So no mail Friday and after no mail yesterday I went to the post office to drop mail and find out WTF and that's when they told me about the Karen call. Turns out USPS can't make their carriers wear a mask if they don't want to and if he refuses to wear a mask he doesn't have to go into buildings that require a mask.

So I'm pissed at my office whiner for being a Karen but since this is a federal .gov employee I feel I should make a stink since they can refuse to wear a mask and do their job. What to do?
Did you instruct her to enforce masking at the office? Did you cover the mask rule and its exceptions with her? I think the answers to those questions leads to your answer about what you should do.

What I cannot abide are those Trump supporters who go mask-less and armed into businesses which post their requirement for wearing masks in order to enter. If you believe in freedom and the American way, then you damned well better support a business person's right to conduct their business as they see fit. If they require you to wear a mask to enter, and you don't want to wear a mask, take your money somewhere else. Patronize those businesses which accommodate you. THAT is the American way.

When you don your MAGA hat and sidearm or long gun to deliberately enter a business in violation of their posted policies, you're not helping anyone. You're not advocating anything. You're attempting to provoke a response which cannot benefit anyone - not you, not others who think as you do, not the business owner or employees, not a soul. You may be in violation of State or local ordinances and subject to arrest (local control is advocated by the Republican Party). Worst case, you provoke a violent response to the perceived threat you pose. Stand your ground and other laws would protect a business operator who put you down.

Think you could wear something like that for 4 quarters?
Football isn’t nearly as physically demanding/exhausting as wrestling... I would assume it would be no problem. It’s just a series of short sprints with an occasional long sprint unless you’re a WR or a CB.

Have him drop it at the front door where Karen can pick it up.

Nice rant Karen but I agree, property ownership gives you the right to set the rules. I just wished that were the case in every circumstance. Don't you?

He ( JJ) actually said he tried one and couldn’t breath in it . That’s the whole reason he made the statement about wearing a face shield . Did you not read his article ?

I agree there is a difference in the amount and length of energy use. I've seen defensive lines starved for air when they use a quick offense. I just don't think putting an air flow restricting mask on players would be good for the players themselves.

Put her workstation outside in the heat?
If you instructed her to do it and did not give her the details of the order, I think you have to reset with her and move forward. If you instructed her to do it and gave her the details, she needs to go. If you did not ask her to enforce the order, then she also may need to go. That's my thoughts on the matter. Also, how much do you like her personally and how big of a pain is it to replace her?

Agreed. And then they shut down completely which eventually started helping but it was too late.

Actually they never shut it completely down , they shut them down from 1-5 in the mornings for cleaning then back up and running .

We’ve known this was going on. There really isn’t any other way to track it though. What’s frustrating is we don’t know how many CV deaths are actually attributable to CV. If these deaths weren’t used to keep people in fear then it wouldn’t matter. That’s the problem.

Didn’t NYC pretty much shut down though? All public places except essentials closed, everyone wearing masks and social distancing, etc.? I know the subways weren’t shut down.

So todays positivity rate is .04% here in Virginia but rumor is Uncle Ralph is gonna put us back in phase 2 ensuring kids can't return to school this fall. Why does he want to do this? Because the teachers union here in Virginia wants 100% distance learning and who do they vote for?

Send Karened to pick up the mail. She will wear a mask of course since she has good sense

It's pretty amusing how the MSM and state/local governments refuse to admit the riots/protests are the root cause of the current spike.

We didnt have any riots/protests (maybe one small march) in my city but cases have been going up pretty steadily.
