Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

If they are blatantly ignoring public health guidance with regard to having healthy employees they should absolutely be closed by the state. There are multiple diseases for which restaurant workers are excluded for pre-COVID. They should be shut down if they ignore those as well.

No doubt.

And what happens to those doctors when they get caught doing so?

Doctors charged in opioid bust: See who is on the list, by state
Ah so you admit people are doing this.

And I am sure there are more cases of patients influencing doctors on real issues besides the stuff that sends them to jail.

Another example would be ADHD meds in kids. Mom doesnt want to deal with little timmy so instead of disciplining her son she gets him legal drugs so she can go back to her ignoring him

Has zero to do with "orange man bad" and everything to do with "orange man has no clue what he is actually talking about".

Do you need a picture to help you understand? Will having it come from Twitter make it more relatable to you in your self-professed ignorance?

Perhaps you have problems with reading comprehension so I'll sum up the original post:

You are the one who made the original post about Trump. I never once brought him up in the post, nor did I mention his name at any point int he post, nor did I make an attempt to justify anything Trump has ever said about the drug in the post. I also never once stated in the original post that this was some kind of cure for COVID19. I found the article link interesting considering coronavirus has a 79 percent genetic similarity to the SARS virus.

Also, it's possible to make a point without being a total D.

Well, here's what I actually think:

I hope this teaches a lot of these chodes downtown what can happen if they don't take precautions. You may think this is just a product of Kincannon whining but the truth is, when someone tests positive, they have to include where they work and in some cases where they've been. The BoH has access to this data and when you see that 12 people at Radius and 13 people at Maple Hall test positive in a month long window, it dawns on you that the downtown bars (who hold most of Knoxville's licenses that are affected by this shutdown) aren't giving a **** or trying to keep it clean. At least, that's all you can assume from their perspective. So, this is what happens.

I hope the management and ownership wakes up and realizes it is actually up to them to stay open.

I dont know anything about their management but do know they cant control their employees outside of work.

It's not a popular stance to take but I 100% agree.

It's painfully funny to watch a bunch of philistines who haven't had an actual science class since 9th grade biology, suddenly try to argue the veracity of a viral study all because they feel some bizarre need to justify the statement of a politician.
It's also funny watching the other philistines constantly jump from study to study. Because this one, no wait, this one is science you should believe. Until the WHO/CDC come out against their own numbers, again, and give you the Really real numbers they want you to believe. Until the next time they get caught using bad numbers.

So you are trying to equate a doctor choosing to give a patient the incorrect treatment, to a doctor being a pseudo-drug dealer by over prescribing opioids so they can be resold on on the street?

Really? That's the mental gymnastics that you are willing to do to prop up your own cognitive dissonance?

Christ that's some cringe.

You are correct. But you can inform them, and do it often, of what activities increase the likelihood of infection and what could happen to their jobs/business if they don’t make good decisions. It’s all about leadership and trust.

I can imagine 20 somethings follow this advice well.

This is no different than what is about to happen on UT campus.

Much smaller sample size. Early on after the shutdown I had several employees test positive. Sent a shock wave through each restaurant. Since then, knock on wood, it’s been very few.

You can instruct people till you turn blue in the face. At the end of the day each has a life outside of work and it would be utterly absurd to believe all will always make good choices.

Hell, some will make all the right choices and still get it.

Because it is incorrect to believe you held the magic pill. Perhaps you were just lucky. Perhaps those places had 1 or 2 small slip ups that caused explosions in their cases.

Maybe you should heed the word of someone who works here and knows things about these businesses you don't. I don't pretend to know the inner workings of the dildo factory you manage.

Downtown had it coming. They were being careless. We were careful, and that's why we had zero cases. You are 100% out of your element here.

Wish I did manage one. With you laid off, sales will be booming.
