Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

The term "politicizing" does not require another party to be involved. A single person can do it on their own. Trump has made the choice of whether or not to wear a mask during this pandemic, a political one, with allegiance and loyalty to the Republican Party being defined by those who do not wear a mask in public.
Agreed it does require two to tango to fit the definition but if you think the Dems and MSM aren’t politicizing this then you’re lying to yourself or truly blinded. It’s pretty obvious both sides are doing it. Typical politicians.

He could have given his ridiculous opinions like he had in the past but he didn’t. You could tell he was flustered and backed into a corner. This dolt should not be allowed to offer any advice to anyone.
I think both Jordan and Fauci looked bad here. Jordan has much better ways to pull Fauci in using how own words but pounced immediately. I know time is limited but he could have set up what he was trying to do much better. Fauci certainly has offered opinions on many things from schools to sports and more. Jordan gave him an out and he took it. I like the whataboutism at the end.

People were already not wearing masks before Trump made a big deal of it. Remember Pelosi pleading with people to come out to the streets of China Town?

If it was just Trump, why is the media and the Dems pushing the issue? If Trump is the only one who cares, why do they rail against Trump? This is where the second side comes into play.

I have been accused of being a red hatter, I am actually a never Trumper, because I was arguing that people shouldnt be required to wear a mask, even though i do.

How do you explain that and many comments on here if it's just Trump and the Republicans on the attack?
I’m curious, as a Never Trumper, are you voting Dem, Rep, or Ind come November? With all of the lunacy coming from the Dems these days I’ve wondered if it might even push some Never Trumpers to vote Rep anyway. To basically vote for the party ideals in general rather than the candidate himself. I’m guessing most that don’t want to vote for Trump but can’t vote Dem will just sit it out.

I keep waiting to hear the status of these athletes. They’ve tested “positive”...are they ill? Hospitalized? At home with terrible fevers and body aches? Or literally completely 100% unaware they ever even contracted the virus until they were forced to take a mandatory test? And would otherwise remain entirely unaware and asymptomatic?

If the story is going to be reported, then give the relevant details.

No current professional or college athletes have died thus far even with constant, multiple, positive tests. Just gotta let this thing cycle through and not let our fears get the best of us.

Exactly what I’ve been saying. Nobody follows up. Ever.

If he was concerned about the PPE supply he could have said cloth masks, bandannas, gaiters would be good to wear. Save the real masks for HC professionals dealing directly with patients.

Not that masks were ineffective.

I probably haven’t read every interview, but I didn’t see him say ineffective. I saw him say it isn’t necessary for average healthy people to wear them. And that is the source of his later comments that the importance of asymptomatic or presymptomatic spread changed his views.

They can't. That may actually put peoples minds at ease about the situation.
I don’t have a problem with receiving information about the Virus at all, both good and bad. I have a problem with agendas, the “I told you so” mentality, and the complete lack of common sense that has taken over the thought process since this started. Take the Bill Battle thread for example, in the post and in a link provided it says Bill Battle expects to make a full recovery, but there are multiple people after that post stating he’s probably gonna die . We need to look at all sides of this instead of constantly instigating fear that overwhelms us.

There are numerous ways that he could tell this lie that wouldn't make him sound brain dead, so it is hard to believe he hasn't just given up.

Yes, unfortunately one of the things that will change is that kids will be going back to school. Not good for the spread of the virus.

And as others have mentioned already the reality of trying to keep teenagers and 20 somethings (many of whom don't even believe in or care about this virus) away from parties and social interactions around campus is a fool's errand.

I'm not buying a subscription to the Washington Post. If student athletes don't want to play, next man up. If you don't understand the economic impact(s) of playing SEC football this fall, you need to get an education. Are there risks? Sure! People are suffering brain damage, bad knees, all sorts of things from playing football. There are people dying from cancer, wrecks, heart disease, alzheimer's, gun violence, and on and on. I support opening up and playing. If you do not play, you lose your scholarship. Simple as that. This concept of taxpayers or fans paying for you to get an education and not playing football or working to pay for it is ridiculous. That dog don't hunt. It is a free country. Free not to work and free to go get a job.

They aren't obligated to play. For college athletes, this is different.

Can't blame them for bowing down to the fear that everyone else is
