Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I knew we were on the same page. And I know you’ve actually been hit by this in your industry. I haven’t missed a day of damn work I just work mostly from home. I’ve got all kinds of mixed feelings over this, I’m blessed to be “essential” and so is the wife, but I’ve also been told to largely suck it up buttercup too. The wife had been in the office 95%+ business as usual. Get peoples asses back to work and stop interfering with their livelihoods and making them dependent on government.

so just dropping this number in another thread got me pissed off thinking about these stupid debt fueled bills.

Federal tax receipts for 2019 were $3.5T

We stupidly passed that damn CARES act earlier this year valued at $2.2T

Now we’re stupidly talking about another $1T+ bill.

So these two idiot bills alone equal almost all tax receipts for 2019. Could somebody please explain to me where in the hell this money is coming from?

My guess: Social Security and our children.

COVID just passed heart disease as the leading cause of death in the US this week. Sorry if already posted.

We all know that doesn’t mean they actually do it, or do it properly. Half the people I see wear it below their nose.
So, to be clear, the problem is now that people are not wearing their masks appropriately or are lying about it?

I'm not sure where you are going or shopping, but there is no way that "half" the people you contact have masks below their noses. Even in my conservative homefront of Farragut, 95% of people I come across are wearing cloth, surgical, or N95 masks.

At some point, have you thought about analyzing all the prior studies and considering that paper, cloth, and surgical masks *might* not have a significant impact on viral transmission?

This is well established.
If you do what I say and things get better, I'm right.
If you do what I say and things get worse, you're lying.

Maybe, maybe not, but you know darn well we do a lot of things in medicine based on “maybe.” Even (or especially) preventative measures.

That’s why everyone should question everything...... the problem with “experts” is that a lot of time their expertise is really just personal opinion.

Anyone have any further insight on the COVID surge in Knoxville?

I've heard talk of UT hospital, in particular, seeing a sharp rise in COVID patients.

I'm only halfway paying attention to the game. Did they say JG was unavailable due to CV19 contact tracing? I noticed that he is on the sideline with a bare face.

No, he was available but CJP did not play him 'cause he couldn't practice much prior to the game

Hmmm. OK, we've tried shutdowns, mask wearing and pretty much everything else under the sun. This is a huge problem in many countries. Maybe there's not much we can do short of a vaccine so let's do all we can to get vaccines developed and distributed to the people. Yeah, that's exactly what Trump focused on for the past year. Once again he has been proven to be right

Trump didn’t “try” anything.
