Funny anecdote about "team players". 4-5 years ago we started personality testing prospective hires, simple online test that is supposed to give insight into a persons true personality. Things like reliability, creativeness, how they deal with stress ext and one is where the fall on the "team player" continuum (luther). As a baseline all current employees took the test and what was strange is our most productive employees all scored extremely low on being a team player. I have found that to be the case since with new employees also.
Yup. Many work environments depend on competitiveness. I compete with my coworkers for production, clients, etc. I had a manager talk about "team players," and I said when the team starts paying my bills we can talk.

All the "team players" I know are low performers.

I wear masks made by my girlfriend. Two layers of tight knit fabric with an interchangeable paper towel sandwiched in between. One in the morning and a second one in the afternoon/evening

I wear a mask when near people or when entering a place requiring one. If I only wore a mask for 10 minutes in a morning I still use a fresh one in the afternoon

So, is the GF making N95-equivalent masks? Better, same, worse?

Because it doesnt fit the narrative they are pushing.
Listen: if the data DID, in fact, demonstrate that mask-wearers were not getting sick or were getting sick significantly less often than those who do not, you can damn well guarantee that it would be included in all the reports.

Is your girlfriend a doctor or materials expert? Or does she have you riding dirty with one of these gems? E64F1498-FE09-4D15-959F-0CF415375812.jpeg

Why don't we all just wear paper towels around our nose? Good god man.

The world has lost its mind. So apparently wrestling for six minutes is cool, just don’t dare let them shake hands afterwards.
OHSAA coronavirus rules: Students can wrestle, but can't shake hands

I watched Marquette play Wisonsin last night. The bench players stupidly sit 6 feet apart. Marquette hit a last second winner and the entire team ended up in a dog pile on the floor. Just makes me laugh.

But I understand the caution, the death toll from covid in college athletics is up to how many now?

I was thinking this morning: with around 50% of people responding in surveys saying they will not be taking the vaccine, when it becomes available, what do the "experts" plan for reaching immunity? It's like they are all in denial.

The local health department, board of health, and school board are the same. They talk about vaccine distribution for schools and whatnot, but they don't mention that the majority of parents (I believe) are not going to vaccinate their kids.

Who knows? At the rate we are going, it may be a moot point by the time it becomes available.

You bring up an interesting point that warrants further discussion. The media keeps giving these dire reports of how long it's going to take before Americans can have access to the vaccine. I don't think it'll be long at all and one of the reasons is that they're not going to have 150 million Americans begging for it. I think the Americans that want the vaccine will have access in the first qtr of 2021 and very possibly early in the qtr.

As for reaching herd immunity, if we still have significant C19 numbers in say May and there are no waiting lists for the vaccine, it should become a back page story. Those people (who get the disease) are exercising their American rights and accepting the risk that comes with it. Then it's no longer a story worthy of front page news. It's no longer worthy of controlling our lives. It's time to fill the arenas, baseball stadiums and so on. If someone gets C19, it should be no more newsworthy than if they got the flu at Lindsay Nelson stadium.

Personally I think if 100 mill get the vaccine and 100 mill are already immune due to exposure, I think our healthcare system will be fine. It'll not be eradicated like polio or small pox but we'll be fine

And a lot more people would take it seriously. Watch the people in charge and see how they treat them, not seriously at all. Even Fauci doesnt seem overly concerned.
When the guy pushing the bs doesnt buy his own bs why should anyone else?

No faith in leadership=no leadership.

It doesnt spread like either. Or have a 10th of their death rate.
