The consumer chose long ago it wanted cheap over durable/long lasting. Consumers made their choice and here we are. If their was a a large market the other way business would naturally fill the demand.

As a high risk, immunocompromized person, I thank all of you who have remembered that it's not just about you. Even if no governor had declared any stay at home or quarantine order, my kind world still be SOL.

Mask mandates actually GAVE my kind some freedom back.

All of the above are just a select few freedoms that were lost where I am. There are many more and the final price to be paid is yet unknown. But it will be high.

But you can loot and riot. If you’re the one who orders the lockdown you can do the things you tell everyone else they can’t.

I always feel better when I see someone who is wearing a MOUTH covering and constantly picking and pulling on it.

By taking away from others freedom. That is some some strange version of freedom you believe in.

I guess as long as you get yours I guess that is all that matters. Who cares how many millions get screwed.

Funny, that's exactly the way I see the other side of the issue. Who cares if I can't leave my house so long as they can pretend everything is alright? Why do I have to be the one with infringed freedom?

Nothing was keeping you from leaving your house, you just needed the proper PPE to protect yourself. You can’t rely on others to protect your delicate arse.

That's the crazy thing with this - the science is established that the mask protects others from your exhalation. I just wish there were a better way to explain it so it would be easier for most folks to understand.
