Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

There is something to be learned from Sweden. Basically it doesn't matter what you do. This virus will have its peaks and valleys. It's going to get pretty much every western country. The only places with a chance are island countries such as Iceland and New Zealand. So I think Sweden shows us that it doesn't matter if they do their way or if they do it like UK has done it. The results will be similar. Where's the evidence that if you close down restaurants/bars that the virus will stay at bay? I've not seen it
Now watch the Maskapo...........

I had a fever on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and was told to go home, since I have a ton of time accumulated. The boss is saying now that I should not have returned to work yet. Insane!

What day did you test positive?

Never mind. If you had symptoms in November why did you wait so long to get tested?

Any symptoms?

So - In the month of December I had a fever for the first three weeks. I felt awful. I was weak, tired, headache, fatigue, etc. I just knew I had it. Well, it turns out it was a sinus infection. I went to urgent care to get tested and the NP wrote a prescription. Finally, by Christmas, I had started feeling better. I workout hard, like four to five hours a day, so I am always in a state of pain and tiredness. On New Years day, I slept until 5 PM. I had bodyaches and congestion and fatigue. I just figured, I had not killed the sinus infection yet and hadn't rested enough from the gym. So, today, I call the urgent care and ask the NP if she would give me some more medicine. Due to insurance, I had to get tested again and sure enough, it was a positive. I don't feel nearly as bad as I did for the month of December, though. I don't feel great, but I don't think feel like I have the flu, either. I have never ran a fever this time. So odd.

So wait, I was expecting the article to go into detail about how Sweden has possibly failed in their approach. But that wasn't what it proved at all. It just spoke about how bad Britain fumbled the ball.

I'm confused. Did the writer prove the Swedish model failed?
Even though you wont see my reply, no he didnt prove anything.

I dont know why EL keeps posting stuff like this.

In a way he’s right. If you were sent home with symptoms you should have gotten tested ASAP. If you test positive you shack up for 10 days and you’re good. It seems you shouldn’t have even got tested this far out with no symptoms unless they made you.

So I did a rapid test today. Tested negative. I started a fever on Saturday morning. Medicine won’t break the fever. If I still have it on Thursday. I may get tested again. It’s drained me

I did. I had three negatives during that two week stretch.

So I see that 1 in every 940 Americans has now died from COVID-19. So mortality rate is clearly more than .1%. Anyone heard the best current estimate? I gotta believe it's probably something like .7% or .8%, given that we're probably talking about no more than 15-20% of Americans having been infected thus far.
Wait, so even using your numbers, are you still suggesting that we need these lockdowns and mask mandates for a 1 in 940 death rate?
