I call BS.
The majority of people that died were close to or over the average age of life expectancy. Then, you are only talking about roughly 100k people by June of last year that were COVID victims in a nation of 330 million. The guy needs to show how in the hell he got those numbers. Valid points. That said, even if he were correct, it just solidifies how stupid all the actions take in the past year were.

He's probably actually right. I'd imagine the delay of care for critical things like cancer, caused either by cancellations and lockdowns of doctor's offices, surgery rescheduling, or just general media-driven fear from people that really needed to be seen would absolutely cause this to happen. Not to mention suicides and other not great things that happen to people that are driven into a prison of anxiety.

But what's clear is that he meant something other than what he said. Because what he said would be a lie. And we all know that he wouldn't lie.
It's not a cage, it's a temporary overflow facility.
Picking winners and losers based on race isn't racism, it's progress.
It's not a lie, I meant to say something true.

wonder what impact the murder rate in big cities had - given the victim are much younger, each death holds many times the impact.

Ran into (literally) my first covid-crazy person today. At grocery store. I put my stuff on the conveyor with the divider between our stuff. I was likely a foot or two away from her. I had my back to the checker and loading stuff from my cart. I felt our backs bump each other. 30 seconds later she is fussing about needing space and pushing our groceries away from hers. I just smiled at her (she never turned around to face me) and her hubby. He looked somewhat embarrassed but maintained eye contact with me.
The checker apologized once she was gone. I somewhat enjoy reminders of how blessed I am in marriage, how I think, my emotional stability, and my socio-economic status in life.

More ignorant fear porn posted by a government mouth breather. EL will believe everything the government tells him as long as it’s not from a conservative.
